In what world are these cheap or under rated? In Northern California they command a massive premium above their KBB listed ‘value.’ 00-01 are 8-10k in the condition a ‘normal’ person would want to buy, where their book value is about 5-7k.

Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4, front and rear active aerodynamics, electronic controlled suspension, electronic controlled dual stage mufflers, automatic climate control, auxiliary input on the stereo, 300 hp twin turbo V6, all wheel drive, all wheel steering. Many of these features are now considered must have on cars and

I just saw one Saturday with the complete desert runner stickers all over it!

Yes, someone build me a brand new Mitsubishi Starion!

Unfortunately that’s not really accurate. Both in 97/98 and in 82/83 the Sacramento area was significantly above average even before the jet stream tapped into the subtropical moisture. In fact one of the reasons the 97/98 floods were so bad was because we had a well above average snow fall in the Sierra Nevada

Please stop talking about how this is going to be an amazingly wet winter in California. Based on current rain/snow fall totals we are looking at a slightly below average winter. Based on other historical data for strong wet El Nino years we should be well above average already. Also there’s historical data showing a

You put a 6spd from a VR-4 into your SL?

“If you can’t fit what you need shipped inside a C-5, you can bet good money that your “package” won’t be flying anywhere.”

Came here to say this, left satisfied!

I see Doug recently got his copy of Car and Driver!

That's not remotely accurate. While it is true there was a very minor earthquake shortly after Oroville filled the first time there is no truth to the claim they cannot keep it at capacity because of a fault. Oroville has actually filled and been held near full many times since it was completed in 1968.

Now playing

It’s interesting that you highlight Folsom Lake when it is a relative pond compared to other major reservoirs in California. Consider for a moment Lake Oroville is 3.5 million acre-feet and Shasta Lake is over 4.5 million acre-feet, while Folsom is less than a 1/3 the size at just over one million acre-feet. Lake

This list is lacking a Miata. Everyone “knows” they are fun to drive, but actually driving the wheels off of one is a whole different experience. I was anti-Miata for years until I came to the realization it was going to be the only way I could really afford to do track days. Once I got to really drive it my tune

Yes, but 50+ years of total fire suppression has created forests which can no longer survive a natural fire. These forests require human intervention to thin the brush to natural levels. Once that’s done fires can be allowed to burn more naturally.

As a Miata owner I agree with it being on this list, but the reasons Stef listed aren’t the reasons it should be on this list. It needs to be here because of the same reasons the WRX/STI are on this list. It’s the poor kids bro stance car.

Oh God YES! My body is ready!

Every time you post one of these you can buy a ____ I think to my self “just because you can do a thing does not mean you should do a thing.”

You do realize there’s already a bolt in roll hoop that meets most every track day regulation out there for the ND Miata, and you can keep the stock soft top. Blackbird Fabworx had one ready to go within weeks of the car hitting dealerships.

Pretty much everything capable of towing 7000lbs or more gets terrible fuel economy. I was just shocked at the stupid loan terms you have to get into to make these kinds of vehicles “affordable”

Recently had a salesperson try and talk me into a 8 year loan on a USED Armada Platinum. I basically had to walk out when he wouldn’t take no for an answer.
