Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4, front and rear active aerodynamics, electronic controlled suspension, electronic controlled dual stage mufflers, automatic climate control, auxiliary input on the stereo, 300 hp twin turbo V6, all wheel drive, all wheel steering. Many of these features are now considered must have on cars and

I just saw one Saturday with the complete desert runner stickers all over it!

Yes, someone build me a brand new Mitsubishi Starion!

You put a 6spd from a VR-4 into your SL?

“If you can’t fit what you need shipped inside a C-5, you can bet good money that your “package” won’t be flying anywhere.”

I see Doug recently got his copy of Car and Driver!

This list is lacking a Miata. Everyone “knows” they are fun to drive, but actually driving the wheels off of one is a whole different experience. I was anti-Miata for years until I came to the realization it was going to be the only way I could really afford to do track days. Once I got to really drive it my tune

As a Miata owner I agree with it being on this list, but the reasons Stef listed aren’t the reasons it should be on this list. It needs to be here because of the same reasons the WRX/STI are on this list. It’s the poor kids bro stance car.

Oh God YES! My body is ready!

Every time you post one of these you can buy a ____ I think to my self “just because you can do a thing does not mean you should do a thing.”

You do realize there’s already a bolt in roll hoop that meets most every track day regulation out there for the ND Miata, and you can keep the stock soft top. Blackbird Fabworx had one ready to go within weeks of the car hitting dealerships.

Pretty much everything capable of towing 7000lbs or more gets terrible fuel economy. I was just shocked at the stupid loan terms you have to get into to make these kinds of vehicles “affordable”

Recently had a salesperson try and talk me into a 8 year loan on a USED Armada Platinum. I basically had to walk out when he wouldn’t take no for an answer.

I’m pretty sure 1-4 on this list should be one of the generations of Miata. The real argument is what order are they in?

I refuse to Twitter or Instagram I want details here on Jalopnik, or are you trying to tell us we should stop looking here for quality articles/writing?

The LS7 isn’t exactly a paradigm of high performance reliability either. They like to chew up their valves and take the engine with it.

The only thing I got from this article is I’m not the only person to have ever owned a Starion!

This seems like a spiritual successor to the Legacy spec.B... Since it won’t come here I don’t have to worry about selling my spec.B for now.

Wondering if Audi Sport North America - Champion Racing got thrown out yesterday? They were the factory backed team for the first half of Audi’s LMP dominance.

This is a good video an decent overview of what it’s like, but many of the things he claims you have to have are overkill for the average person’s first track day. Racing suit, gloves and shoes aren’t really necessary, but nice to have. Similarly I wouldn’t get a HANS device either as they are quite expensive and if
