It's OK, I'm sure there'll be a Kevin Smith thread along in a minute.

Yeah. I don't think it's just because she's a woman but it definitely mainly is. It's like with Sex and the City. Motherfuckers were genuinely angry about that show even existing, despite it actually being most of the things we say we want from TV shows. Totally understand ambivalence towards performers like McCarthy…
No but I hear the new Ghostbusters is.
The words 'Blade Runner' and '2' really don't belong in the same sentence and I refuse to get used to seeing it.
"Come on! It's 300 years after Aegon's Conquest!"
Or Driver. Awesome that the three new leads are pretty much tied for first place in the 'best thing in a Star Wars movie' competiton. Gonna be a good trilogy.
So uncomfortable watching the endless Jons stream from his tear ducts.
That's totally valid. I found it a little distracting on the first watch and I do wish they'd been more upfront about it. My issue is with dummies who've latched onto the 'TFA's a remake, so it sucks' bandwagon. I've seen people claim that the prequels are better because 'at least' they're original. Which makes no…
I've got no issue if people want to try and argue that it's a bad remake (although I think it's an excellent remake, if that's really the word we want to use.) My issue is with people saying 'it's a remake' as if that in itself constitutes insightful negative criticism.

> How is Game of Thrones analgous to our history, in any way?
> Middle Ages of a fictional, not-real, fantasy world, just to be clear.
Will people please please stop pointing out that TFA is a remake of ANH, as if they've caught the filmmakers trying to get away with something or that it inherently implies anything about the quality of the film?
"Finch" sounds like it came out of a schlubby, comic relief sidekick name generator.

This is the real problem with Trump. Even if he isn't elected, his contribution to the degradation of the political conversation has already happened. What do you think everyone's going to campaign on the next time there's a presidential primary? Policies?
Shit man, if he can have "diaphanous"…
