This. The new Ranger pricing is just skewed too high compared to what F150s sell for. And my guess it is almost all to grab extra margin rather than engineering development teams missing their cost targets. The packaging set up also seems to be designed to drive prices higher.

The current Ranger is a bit longer than the old extended cab. But it’s monstrous compared to the old single cab short bed.

F150s are outselling Rangers because Ford is foolish with pricing them so close together. There was a time when the price gap for a F150 and a Ranger is big enough to make you choose wisely. Now, it’s the “more bang for your buck” option.

The Bronco is better as a daily and far more practical in a lot of ways. It’s a much more useful vehicle. A lot of people could get away with a Bronco being their only vehicle, so $45k for one might not be unreasonable.
