I second this. I’ve always thought glass liftgates were stupid. You can’t really drive on normal roads with them open, and you can’t offroad with them open because they bounce around. The only correct answer is a roll-down rear window like a 4Runner, which are great off-road and on.

You mean like how the 1st and 2nd generation 4Runner’s back windows could be lowered into the tailgate and then the tailgate dropped down?

Which is why a REAL SUV like a 4runner has always had a roll down window.

Because it’s actually not all that useful. You can’t drive around with it open without risking damage, and anything that’s on the floor you’re going to bother opening the entire liftgate anyway.

I really don’t understand why pickups(other than the Tundra) don’t have roll down rear windows. That dinky sliding window is useless.

No; what you really need is a rear window that retracts downward, like your door windows retract into the door.

Eh, I think the 4Runner’s roll-down glass is more useful.

The world needs more of these:

“Installation is the reverse of removal” is the cruelest hoax perpetrated on the amateur mechanic.

When Haynes says “use a brass drift and a rubber mallet”, realize that on older vehicles, this means “an 11-inch grade-8 bolt and a 5-pound sledgehammer”.

I hate to be pedantic, but they stopped being scooters when they decided to participate in the breaking down of storefront windows. Now they’re sclooters and I just can’t get on board with that.

Hi, have you not seen the news, read an article, or stepped outside? This whole thing is about the abuse of power. If you really believe what you’re saying, you’re dangerously ignorant.

Plenty of people who’ve protested peacefully in the last few days (not to mention the rest of human history) have still found the wrong side of police treatment.

Well, I cannot argue with your overwhelmingly cited evidence.

You don’t speak for everyone.

I think you need to relax because chapter 11 can also entail dropping expenses (like maintaining a fleet) and trying to bring in additional revenue (like selling parts of that fleet).

Perhaps twitter could start applying thier own TOS towards the President. They’ve suspended and deleted accounts for far less.

It is the latter and the Chicken Tax. The crash regs excuse is bullshit, otherwise you wouldn’t have vehicles like the Fiat 500, Chevy Spark, VW Golf, or Honda Fit for sale in the US either.

I would also like to add the very strange and contradictory view points of some local Republicans I have observed:

Hi, apparently you’re unfamiliar with the fact that the vast majority of retail workers in all industries don’t really like their customers, usually for very good reason.
