What in the what? Who got a new monitor for free on her macbook air (thank you APPLECARE!) and a brand new imac? MEEEEEEEEEE. Since, I managed to get a freelance job with a potential for future employment my mom thought it was worth buying me a new computer + iWork and Adobe Creative Suite.

Her highlights look way less awesome than they do in other pictures. I guess styling plays a lot into them, and will make me reconsider my lust for said highlights.

I love the fact that China still continues its tradition of underground texts. I always find it so interesting that it can gather this groundswell without using traditional outlets. If it is in English I will definitely check it out.

@Spicy Armadillo: Previously, like maybe 5 - 10 years ago the consensus was that plus started at 10. I'm speaking in regards to high fashion.

@Better_red_than_dead: I think it might actually lead some people to lose weight.

@taxonomy: This is all very true. I've worked in fashion and have seen it all. Certain brands do up beyond a size 4, but you would never see it on the floor. This whole image issue keeps them from doing so, and they make the larger sizes for "good" customers/friends.

Some people might this is a terrible idea as it might be super sized versions of designs meant for smaller sizes. The items may not fit or flatter larger frames and as such not sell as well. Thus giving weight to the argument that high end plus sized items don't sell.
