@andriah: It is really weird the way it is contextualized in their culture. It was during the meiji when the culture became much more chauvinistic. So the more Western the setting/situation the more you will see the paternalistic attitudes.
@Jenna: She had her grandmother adopt her as an adult to snag the name. Deluxe also taught me that!
@Daoudmac: That is because literally all the flagship stores are designed by the same person. They talk all about it in Deluxe: How Luxury Lost Its Luster.
@andriah: Women also traditionally manage the finances in the home in Japan - not the men.
@girl_ninja: Seriously? I hope that is a joke. She is terribly low key and pretty good about raising her daughter. What exactly makes her that?
I think it is great that the first lady is into fitness for her children. Though I think her kids are a bit young for the gym. I mean playing sports - perfect! Bench pressing at their age, maybe a bit much.
@zoethebitch: It is a pretty amazing dress, though it would look horrendous on 99.9% of the population. (Myself included.)
@emase: Omg that is my absolute favorite. The same guy also wrote Die Mommie Die and starred in the recent stage revival. I'm a huge fan of his!
@panpaniscus: I think this answers #1 pretty well
Chris Klein honestly if you thought mentioning American Dreamz was going to win you the role - you seriously need better people. That movie is only good for all the wrong reasons.
@sloe-eyed: Thanks. I have a cat, so I don't think it is a possibility right now. She likes to kill things for fun. Like for example, yesterday she caught a fly hurt it and let it go. All so she could play with it some more. I fear a hedgehog currently would not be long for this world in my home.
@sloe-eyed: Can I ask you a question about hedgehogs? Do they make good pets? Like what type of care goes into them? I have always wondered about them.
@der gugelhupf: I never said that I believed that women do use it as form of birth control. I know people who have had it done and so I know about all the work that goes into it. I was in a social gathering where a rather conservative older family friend said that and I was sick to my stomach.
@der gugelhupf: Actually, if you had read and absorbed what I said before responding you would have seen this:
Issues like this seriously confuse me. I am definitively pro-choice, but jokes about not being able to sleep with bad boys are part of the reason we are here. (It was mentioned downthread.)
@lucyjae: He dated the girl from the Girl in the Fireplace, and is currently dating the girl that played his daughter Jenny in the Doctor's Daughter episode.
Turns out every guy that is in the media that I have been attracted to is gay. I also am heavily into showtunes and etc. I took my own mother to the premier of Die Mommy Die, and yet I am a straight girl.
@MeiTai: Wait, he's gay? I just thought he was extra British.
@zoethebitch: The shaved head obviously ups the hotty quotient a bagillion percent.
