if i had to pick the 14 best songs and make a single disc album—which i never would, of course, because it's the greatest rock and roll record ever made—these would be the creme de la cream:

in the broad sense of what "imagine" means, yeah, i can imagine pretty much anything; i'm well aware that there are scores of opinions that conflict with mine. i guess what i REALLY mean is that i don't understand and cannot relate to people who don't think like i do, because if i could, then having the opinions and…
k then. you definitely have the passion and knowledgability of some of us who were there..though they got really icky at times, and it's probably good that billy shut the official one down.
so..you get it, and you don't get it?
stand inside your love, try try try, wound, this time, blue skies bring tears, i of the mourning, raindrops + sunshowers, and the imploding voice are all terrific, with the everlasting gaze, age of innocence and with every light not far behind. the only ones i'm really not gaga over are HMM, crying tree of mercury,…
my love is winter is one of the best things billy's put out in a bit. very 80s, i think, in a great way.

fuck family guy. long live the simpsons and south park.
it's fucking boring.
um..no?
nope. great, passionate fucking song. the pretender is the phoneitin/paintbynumbers foo tune.
no, but you're mistaken.
^another "ROCK GUY" who can't enjoy anything but ROCK, eh?
i think annie-dog is very interesting. i can absolutely see not liking it, but i don't get how it's "filler"..it's way too unique to be filler.
"underrated" is a word, you know.
panopticon, my love is winter, pale horse..those are probably the best of the bunch. quasar is fun too. it's a more enjoyable album in the sense that the lows aren't as low as those on teargarden and it seems less haphazard.
the problem with this is that you'd have to listen to pavement.
hmm. i remember reading all these reviews saying the new pornographers were like this modern day cars with all these super catchy alt-pop songs. then i listened.
