Thanks for the objective commentary, Barb Bottles.

I would argue that it has been a good summer for the Sixers. There’s isn’t a GM to give young talent away now or make lopsided draft day trades. The Colangelos are garbage. Good riddance.

“wife” with a knowledge of and interest in player workouts and physicals

I agree that Hinkie’s record is far from perfect, but it’s better than Colangelo’s and all the (good) young players that currently make up the Sixers core are a direct product of Hinkie’s tanking.

Don’t forget to add Michael Carter-Williams, Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor to his credit. He drafted three centers, two of whom washed out—not great use of high lottery picks. If Simmons was such a no-brainer, Hinkie doesn’t really get credit for him, either. And perhaps not for Embiid, since he was thought of as

Everyone gave Hinkie crap for his draft picks at the time, but look at this future Let’s Remember Some Guys list of Colangelo draftees:

Crummy off-season?  I think most Sixer fans were ecstatic to see the tail end of Daddy Nepotism and Little Lord Bigcollar.

Luckily white collar crime isn't a big deal.

Did I read this correctly? Why the fuck do they play the national anthem at the start of practice? I’m of the opinion that it has no place in any sporting event outside of international competitions (perhaps), but practice?

Now playing

Another big Dallas sports personality, Mike Doocy, had a live interview with Jerrah scheduled last night. After Jones showed up they told Doocy that the anthem discussion was off limits, and Mike Doocy told him to kick rocks, then did his live segment alone.

Here’s another story about diluting the national anthem into meaninglessness:

Spoken like someone who didn’t grow up in such an environment. If you go to public school with hundreds of people just like you, watch TV that conforms to your sensibilities, and follow people on Twitter who are just like you, then you’ve gained no incredible insight into how the other half of the world thinks. No one

The good thing to remember is that aside from the booing at his next few road starts, and the having to give an awkward apology, literally nothing else is going to happen to this guy. He’s not losing his spot, and given that he is an MLB pitcher, he *probably* wasn’t in line for any blue chip sponsorship deals. It’s

Big blacks doings the dirty work, while playing 2nd fiddle.

If you’re a short white dude who doesn’t like getting knocked down by black guys you need to find a new sport. C’mon, white people, this is the whole reason tennis continues to be a thing.

If you falsely pull a fire alarm you can be charged. There should be no difference. Those cops could be stopping a real crime just the like the fire department could be going to a real call. At the very least there should be mandatory community service involved.

The Venn Diagram of dudes who call the police for a hard screen and dudes who thought the 2017 NFL season was the worst because of the choreographed celebrations is a circle.

To paraphrase something from the Root: “This is why wypipo need to be charged for calling 911”

This is the best strategy white people have come up with for staying relevant in the sport of basketball since the introduction of the three-point line.

Got a scouting report on either of these two players?
