Same here. ESPN talked about how Joel Embiid will NOT be pursuing Rihanna now that he’s an All-Star, but no mention of this. If you go look on their website now, it’s a full 4 stories ahead of this. Gotta get those clicks I guess...

I once admired Aly because she was an amazing athlete and, in the words of Enzo Amore, “hot as hell and you can’t teach that!”
I just want to thank Deadspin and Jezebel for giving this the frontline attention it needs and deserves. Other outlets are giving it so little attention relative to its importance it is very disheartening. I listen to the radio in the morning on the way to work and you would have little idea this was happening if…
Also, for more connecting dots, you can also look to the evolution of most sports leagues, and parallel thinking about race.
It’s really sort of mind boggling how you don’t see that nepotism fundamentally restricts the opportunities for minority coaches.
“Mediocre doofus bumbling in to accidental success” is the American dream.
I’m glad the rest of American society doesn’t work this way. Now excuse me while I listen to music by Alan Thicke’s son, Billy Ray Cyrus’s daughter, and Loudon Wainwright III’s son and then watch a movie with Rocky Johnson’s son or maybe one with Robert Pine’s son, Patty Duke’s son or Goldie Hawn’s daughter. Or maybe…
so you’re criticizing someone for making an claim upon which you do not have the knowledge to refute. Got it.
I guess it’s the unpopular take, judging by other comments, but Pierce is 100% right on this one.
I gotta think it went something like this. The most shocking part is that PJ Tucker wasn’t one of the Rockets who stormed the locker room.
If I can offer three points of advice that you don’t have to take a full course for:
1.) One of the first and most important tenets of Rhet/Comp is to avoid engaging in arguments with zealots. “Zealot” doesn’t have the same religious connotation in this context that it does in colloquial expression—it just means any…
People outside the White House didn’t know FDR had polio and was mostly bound to a fucking wheelchair when he wasn’t appear in public. The White House will cover up anything and everything to project a strong President. It’s the representation of our country. Image matters.
You are mostly right, but no Joey Crawford. He was on a power trip and he truly WAS an asshole just to be an asshole.
Joey Crawford is DEFINITELY a Trump supporter, no?
Yeah, because tossing star players like Draymond Green (who is an unmitigated asshole) and Chris Paul (ditto) will make fans want to watch more NBA games.
You lost me at Joey Crawford. He was an egotistical prick who believed he was as instrumental to the entertainment of the game as the players. The fact that his name was widely known is a testament to how much he worked to insert himself into the game rather then simply being a dispassionate and fair arbiter.
I wish Michael Bradley had half of the defensive skills of any of those kids.
I got halfway through this article and stopped. It’s just so tiresome. I need to be part of the solution and not the problem. I hereby swear I will never click on another Lavar Ball related thing again, not anywhere, but especially not here.
The Lakers have a problem now, in ESPN’s formulation. ESPN reporters think the Lakers must do a better job of preventing LaVar Ball from making, to ESPN reporters who follow him to Lithuania, stick a microphone in his face, and ask him for his opinions on issues related to his famous sons, statements that those ESPN…
