I've used a friend's Keurig K-cup and it made okay coffee. I have an Aeropress, though, and it produces far better-tasting coffee in about the same amount of time. Since I bought it about a year ago, I've bought three more to give to family members who got addicted to mine. :)

Where's the flowchart for going from corporate accountant to teaching English as a Second Language?

I use Simple Green (available in the automotive section of many local chain stores). It cuts the grease and residue without damaging surfaces, even on my wood cabinets! It is also non-toxic and biodegradable, so I feel safe using it in the kitchen.

You can put the vegetables each in separate cooking (aka sous vide) bags to keep them from mixing while cooking. [www.cookingsousvide.com]

Good idea! I wish I'd had iPod Touch to do that when I was an undergrad. I also like the inClass app for iOS for tracking assignments and classes.

I have Gmail set to send as a number of different addresses I own. Go to Mail Settings > Accounts and Import > Send mail from another address. Fill in the info and wait for a confirmation email to be sent to your school address (and forwarded to your Gmail). Follow the directions in the email to finish set-up.

The comment that got me starred was quoted in this article: [lifehacker.com] I actually saw the article headline in my newsfeed before I realized that they quoted me or that I'd been starred and thought, "Hey, I was just talking about that!"

I currently use Gas Cubby for iOS. I like that it calculates my mpg per tank and the overall average. It's also handy to be able to back-up my data (with the paid version). Previously, I used a small notebook that I kept in my glove compartment.

I have a social question that has been vigorously debated among my friends: Can men and women really be just friends? Care to weigh in with your opinion and reasons why or why not?

I made a coffee bag wallet about three years ago and it has held up very well. One thing to consider is that there is no place for coins. I do not mind that feature because, on the rare occasion that I pay cash and receive change, I put it in my pocket and empty it into a jar at home.

In my experience, denture cleanser tablets work even better for cleaning than Alka Seltzer. Denture cleanser(usually available next to the toothpaste and floss) is specifically designed to be a nontoxic cleaner that gets rid of odors, bacteria, and stains or grime. I use them for cleaning residue and grime from

For co-workers: I listen to their questions/problems and help right then if it will take less than 15 minutes and I am not already in the middle of something. If it will take longer or I am busy, I tell them how I would approach it (or which transaction to use) and suggest that they try on their own. If they can't do

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain

I work on my MA in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) one class at a time because I don't want to give up my job or my entire social life. I also mentor college students several hours a week (it's a bit like Big Brothers Big Sisters except for college students instead of kids).

I firmly believe in the use of conditioning via positive or neutral responses (negative ones can work but are much trickier). When interacting with others, people are looking for a response. If they consistently don't get a positive response, they may try something else. If that doesn't work, they will eventually try

A can of compressed air works pretty well for most things. If I don't have one or something is stuck, I thread a piece of Scotch tape around and under the keys to "grab" whatever is under there. If I'm in a hurry, I just turn my keyboard upside down and shake it.

I agree with The Net and Sneakers is up there, too.

I'm easily annoyed when I wake up so I change my morning soundtrack frequently to keep songs from getting irritating or so normal that I will sleep through them. My requirements for wake-up music are: upbeat, mid- to fast tempo, and something I really like. Lately that has been most of Lifehouse's music, though some

1) I like the Oxford comma but am not bother by its omission and will not mark it as wrong unless it makes the sentence unclear.

I enjoy reading everyone's responses! This is the list my friends and I made:
