@magnoliasouth: I know I am very late, but I like the product reviews on www.realsimple.com and in their magazine.

@digitmint: Ride with people you like and and start a 'what if' conversation (What if you had to live in a jungle? What if Serenity and the Millenium Falcon were in a firefight? What if zombies attacked your school?). If you don't like the people, you can still sleep, read, listen to music or have the 'what if'…
@Phoshi: Kudos on your SG milestone! I started at the very beginning in March, but stalled out mid-season 2 about three weeks ago.
Sweet, #openthread comments are functioning! Happy Friday to all! I finished my sociolinguistics class this week. My submitted research project was 38 pages long because my professor wanted ALL of the data I gathered. The topic was analyzing the language style used by college students on Facebook. Who else is…
I plan to spend the weekend finishing my sociolinguistic research project: Comparing past research on teen text messaging language to my research on their use of language on Facebook. What have you been studying for fun, work, or school lately?
@leetgeek: Interesting. I would watch something like this on Discovery and then switch over to a scifi movie where scientists tried this and ended up creating a superhuman hero (or a monster). Sounds like fun to me!
@wickedcupofjoe: That's always a tricky subject because people seem to feel passionately about both sides. I think the choice depends a lot on the child but mostly on the parent who would be doing the teaching.
@farcedude: Welcome to the dark side, young one. We don't always have cookies but we do have great apps!
Happy Friday to all! Last night, a friend and I sat on my patio in the dark, drinking coffee while we talked about life and faith and stories. We don't see eye to eye but we listen and care, so the conversation was both relaxing and thought-provoking. What was a recent thought-provoking conversation you had?

I log password clues that only I would understand in my iPod touch. For instance, if I banked online at Chase (I don't), the entry might read: CS - Two towers of lasagna. The password would be something like G4rFIe1d because Garfield likes lasagna and The Two Towers is the middle of a trilogy so I capitalize the…
@whiteflea: Ah, spring fever!
I'm relieved it is Friday, but barely have time to enjoy it. Two of eight people in my department are in the hospital, so I am covering some of their duties and doing an ISO audit. Is anyone else dealing with understaffing or a hectic week?
@etnie21: I have worked in accounting for a Fortune 500 company for five years and am working on my exit strategy. I am working on my MA in Teaching English as a Second Language so that I can make a complete career change instead of just getting a new job. I do have friends that have moved overseas to teach English…
@goodywitch: I think you're correct, but it sounds like they no longer make knives with the Robeson brand name.
@goodywitch: Sadly, Robeson went out of business years ago: [www.allaboutpocketknives.com]
@Raiderboy23: I can tell I'm getting a little more toned all over, even though I've only been in this routine for two weeks. I do my pushups with my legs on a stability ball, so that makes my core work to stay balanced.
Happy Friday to all! I recently started walking with coworkers at lunch and also started the Hundred Pushups Challenge. [hundredpushups.com] Do you have a fitness routine? If so, what is it?
@screenmutt: Check out the house tours and/or the Small Cool Contest entries at [www.apartmenttherapy.com] I get some of my best ideas there and some of the apartments are smaller than any of my college dorms!
My best kitchen advice is to store things near where you will use them. My pots are above the stove, coffee supplies and mugs above the coffeemaker, spices in the cabinet next to the stove (where they will not get too hot). If you find yourself constantly walking back and forth across the kitchen to do simple tasks,…
