Depends what you mean by goes to waste. The work that modders have done to create private WoW servers running older expansions have convinced Blizzard to do an official version. Nostalrius might be dead but the dream of a legitimate Vanilla WoW is alive.

My feelings exactly. I watched season 1 once a year ago, and by the end of the “Previously On...” I was already confused. The rest of the episode did not help.

My favorite part of the game so far (only a couple hours in) is the unintentional humor of the voice acting, writing and animations. The characters always bow their heads before they speak and at the end of every cutscene, I love it.
