Hence why I said "looking", as it had the appearance of an off-roader or SUV, rather than Crossovers on today's LR lineup

I learned to drive in one of those years ago, when my dad had one... I think it spent more time at the dealership getting it's air suspension fixed than on the road! Also: the driver's seat colapsed (my dad was only 90kg at the time), the back jump seats broke every time, engine knock after 2 years... 4 years and…
Yup, he did ^^
Oh hell no! They are everything but cheap :(
You should look at the South American Ford, Peugeot, Citroen and Renault cars, for more WTF-ness regarding the usage of ancient platforms on cars sold new. Honestly, car industry in most of South America is horrible, but hey, it's relatively cheap (emphasis on "relatively") and gets people into cars somehow!
Asked a friend in Brazil to call a Chevy dealership, and apparently, the Brazilian market Cobalt sits on pretty much a stretched Sonic platform, which apparently, is considered a "whole new platform"!
I can confirm that the Cobalt is on a stretched Sonic platform! (Asked a friend in Brazil to call a dealership). In Brazilian car-manufacturing terms, that's a new platform for them...
Also, I drove a 1.0 Chevy Celta that ran on ethanol owned by my cousin there. One of the best fun without breaking the limit, since it…
Actually, that's not really the case for Chile. The only cars we get from the South American Chevy brand, are the Sail, N300 and Tracker. The rest are all either US or Euro market cars.
THIS!
Nissan hasn't made fun cars?

2013 Nissan Juke Turbo 6MT
Well, my car has keyless start and a 6 spd manual, and only requires the clutch when in gear. When it's in neutral, it starts just by pressing the brake pedal + button. And it's nothing fancy, it's a Nissan!
Ok before all of cry out for a Hellcat Dart let me just say, it's not happening. What we will see will be a turbocharged AWD WRX fighter that will debut at the end of 2016. I'll be happy if they borrow the exhaust from the wacky 500 Abarth.
Some reports claim it will be a Juke fighter...
They're also driving here in Chile. Here's a link photo of Clarkson with the Chilean flag (if the link works). Maybe a bonus ride through Southern Chile, or visiting the tip of South America through the Chilean part?
We need a driving game that mixes Forza's physics and sound engine, Gran Turismo's car format (many trims/engines of same model) and Test Drive Unlimited's open world design, with houses, car dealerships, etc. A man can dream!
