Mercedes OM602 diesel engines. Huge reliability, known for being able to handle 500.000+ miles without a single rebuild. My Korando has one, with only 70.000 miles but goes like new still. And what is cooler than an odd-numbered cylinder diesel engine that went into old Benz's wagons, that were probably brown?

Hey now, I'm a proud owner of a 2006 SsangYong Korando and although it may be an odd-looking bloated Wrangler looking with a broken doff, it is an amazinlgy fun, off road capable car :)

Newer model LUVs can be had for much less where I live. CP for me, especially with that weird bed.

Not exactly hard to convert to LHD. There are 10 Skylines minimum here in Chile (from R32s to R34s, everything from sedans to GTRs), all LHD using donor parts or even making their own. Works wonders!
