When I was in college, my school (a dinky state school in NJ) required every student take Public Speaking. It was dreaded. It was hated. However, it was probably the best thing they could do for as potential professionals. The school started as a teacher's college, and teachers have to speak in front of an audience

I'm guessing whomever wrote this has never tried exercising outdoors during a New England winter (or Midwestern Plains State Winter, Canadian Winter, etc)

I have very greasy/oily hair so I do have to shampoo daily. I use jumping juniper. Their conditioners aren't as good. I prefer veganese, but because I am showering at the gym and prefer not to have shampoo/conditioner explosions on my clothing in the gym bag (it happened the first day I went to work out), I stick

Portion control is only half the battle. Without regular exercise, you will never keep it off. Your body believes it needs those portions to survive. I had an extremely overweight friend who just started walking to the mailbox and back everyday, eventually getting his steps up significantly. I don't think he could

Compared to $2 - 3 for Suave? Yes.

That's fitness level. Even a 400 lb person can do 15 minutes, slowly on a treadmill which is better than not exercising at all. Otherwise, how the hell are they going to lose the weight?

In late December (just after Christmas), I moved office locations to one with a gym. Once I got my routine in hand for the new office, I switched it up (first week of January coincidentally) to go in an hour early and use the gym. I made it a routine to get 30 minutes on the elliptical every single morning. I've

My husband has tried a ton of 'natural' shampoos for dandruff and has found good ole Head & Shoulders just works the best for him.

It's even in LUSH shampoos and they're all about natural ingredients. Here's the list for the shampoo I used this morning ($10.95 solid lasts about 6 months)

I use solid shampoos from LUSH. While they're a bit more expensive ($8 - 10 ea), they're not as expensive as some salon brands and they limit themselves to natural ingredients. I also use their solid conditioner, which due to the fineness of my hair, I don't need daily but it helps de-tangle.

I shop at BJs fairly regularly for paper goods and cleaning supplies. I also get gas from them at about $.10/gallon discount, so the annual membership is worth it.

I had one of the best times on my Honeymoon cruise at Maui. We simply got to the mall and asked the bus driver for the best beach to lie around all day and not have to worry about the tourists. She didn't direct us wrong. The buses in Maui are wonderful. Are they still only $1?

Go one street off the main drag to find the best bars and restaurants. No need to plan in advance, just get away from tourism zones.

Unless your soap has lye in it, you don't have to worry about using modern dish soap on cast iron. As a matter of fact, it's unsanitary NOT to:

Here's the list of states offering discounts. Massachusetts is not one of them - http://www.aarp.org/home-garden/transportation/info-05-2010/auto_insurance_discounts.html

It's not meant to be permanent but a solution until I can afford a new floor and kitchen. Honestly, given what I've seen elsewhere in the house, going down to the substrate scares the s#!+ out of me!

That's a small room and probably doesn't get quite the foot traffic as some other rooms. For my kitchen, I'm doing step #1 and then laying down 12"x12" alternating black & white sticky tile (to make a checkerboard) right on top of the existing linoleum (currently yellow and orange and dating from 1959).

You can't get into our IKEA through the exit very easily due to a one-way escalator and very full elevators. What you can do is go up the escalator curve left directly to the cafe, go down the steps to the Marketplace and quickly utilize the shortcuts to avoid most of it.

"Steam Wallpaper Remover – Removing wall paper is an ugly mess, and hopefully only a once-in-your-lifetime job, but this makes it possible. $40 per day."

I've backed several Kickstarter projects. My first one was Joules, which was a bit of a waste. I've backed a couple of webcomics to print. I've also backed a few unique projects. I backed a documentary about aging out of foster care. I've backed a mobile wine tasting truck in France. I also backed Pebble and
