It's a nice feature for the phone, but I REALLY need this for my Mac. The standard notifier for Mac only checks the inbox. Is there any chance there's something equivalent out there anyone knows of?

@thebuffster: Awesome find! Thank you! (Added to my wish list)

@thebuffster: That's why I started with strawberries for jam. They're fairly high acid. I haven't tried any real low acid foods (like mincemeat) that require the pressure cooker yet. The best canning resource is still Ball's Blue Book. I've started bringing it with me to farmer's markets so I get enough of what I

@allison_is: Good things come to those who wait. I started canning this year. It's totally worth the effort.

Also, canning is not difficult to do and botulism is only a problem if air gets in the jar. If you follow instructions and make sure your jars are sealed, you won't have a problem. It took me 2 hours to make a half dozen jars of strawberry-rhubarb jam for the year. And I plan on peach preserves and some peach

That reminds me. I need to pickle up the three cucumbers I got last week at the CSA. My husband loves bread & butter pickles.

It was my waffle iron, but then Alton Brown went and showed us how to make bacon on it! My next favorite single use tool is... my reamer. Because I love reaming my lemons, limes and oranges. Yes, I do.

There's also bestparking.com which does a similar service for Boston, NYC and Philly as well as advertises rates in non-affiliated garages. I think it's expanded to DC but not sure.

It's funny. I do this when I vacation, but not for day to day. I don't know if I could pair down to 6, but potentially I can see myself with 2 pairs of work pants and 5 tops (I wear blouses) [10 total for seasonal changes due to my location - sweaters in winter] and maybe 2 - 3 shorts and 5 T-shirts for casual wear.

I do because with a G1 it's imperative to be able to install apps on the SD card in order to maintain the life of the phone.

You might want to put a disclaimer on how you're not responsible if anyone gets injured trying this project. Slip and Slides are notoriously dangerous.

@avatar003: You'd be surprised what people get away with when their manager is 2000 miles away. It's been 3 years.

@headclone: Yes, it's called a shopping list and a cook book

My nemesis was hired at the same time I was and started about a week after I did. I didn't get to interview her or meet her prior to her first day. She's pure evil.

The test group is too statistically insignificant for this to be a valid study. Next.

I'm going to get hosed because we've done so much energy savings already we're not going to get credit for :P

@anrcox001: It should work still. My issue with the hack is that I don't really want my pot lids in the open and I don't think that would work right on my cabinet door. The PVC dish rack solution would work better for my pot lids than this.
