Well now I’m torn, because you are one of the commenters I really like on here, and it looks like a lot of my favorites are doing the twinja thing. Now I don’t know what to do, am I just being even more curmudgeon-y than usual? Should I just give in? Should I have another scotch? I think I’ll start by tackling the

They don’t all seem to mind

Ok, sure, so like 90% of the time turning into a badass animal is better, but that 10% where you face wicked witches of the west, someone in suede, or you just need some ice cubes for a drink, someone sure is glad to have The Waterboy around!

I believe kinja ate my images

and for some variety

I could not agree with this more, he said, assuming no one would hear

Or like the Wondertwins!

I’m not even close to an expert, but if you need a touch of home the Cravin Cajun had good New Orleans style food and live Jazz music, and Mo’s was good and felt like being in the States. This info is a couple of years old, hope it helps

Or did he?

Good for you though, it may confuse you but at least you’re on there. I still just can’t bring myself to despite this giving me more reason than ever to consider giving in and jumping on, but still I just can’t.

I know what you mean about the loss. Jezebel is great, and I found it through io9, which was my favorite. Now that io9 has changed in ways I dislike all that was left was Jez, home my favorite comment section, so I’ll be crushed if that goes because I...just can’t do twitter

I came late to the Gawker team of sites (sister sites? superfriends?), and Jezebel is definitely my favorite (especially since my beloved io9 was ruined). The only thing that stops me from commenting more is gray frustration, but it really is a great group of commenters

I use this site both to procrastinate at work and find hilarious (to me) content to add to office-wide emails. Now what site do I use to find my interesting and “motivational” email content? NPR? The Onion? Who am I kidding it’ll be Worldstarhiphop

Maybe it’s just me, but while Gawker had far more coverage, I already liked The Slot’s coverage more.

Well, age and being able to do less are generally linked, but my understanding is that he wasn’t permanently confined to anything; he was in a chair at the time, and in a lot of pain, yes, struggling with recovery from a broken leg and hip replacement surgery. That’s not permanently broken down. When you hear his

He really wasn’t. He was somewhat nostalgically idealistic but still oddly practical. Trump would represent the worst of America to him.

He really did immerse himself, and with him, the reader, into his subject matter in a way few did. The Hell’s Angels, the campaign trail, the Derby, he boldly charged into the belly of many a strange beast, with nothing but wits, guile, and a head (and satchel) full of drugs.

I suspect he’d have supported Sanders at first, and begrudgingly, and after writing some hilarious and strikingly insightful pieces about her, would have supported Clinton. It’s easy to view as an idealist, but I think this next bit applies to our current options (with a slight change).

I’d say it is getting there, and that is my point. He didn’t want that life, and choice to write the ending for his own story.

He hated bullies and scam artists, he’d have hated Trump. I don’t think he’d have liked Clinton but he despised Trump types. Read this quote and replace Nixon with Trump, I think he’s already commented on him.
