I think the Stanford case had a whole lot of us enraged and desperate to see any form of justice, and then this story was so heart breaking that it was the final straw for many. I know it was for me; I turned off the internet and after work I hugged my daughter even more than usual and took her out for frozen yogurt

I’m all for constructive criticism, and I’m all for people pointing out that she erred and I hope she learns from it, but people are just so quick to call for heads or give up on people. We’ve just about all made mistakes in our careers, and most of us still do on occasion, I guess I just think situations like this

I was disturbed by the same thing, like I said I considered saying something., but after seeing SO many comments, many in harsher language than I’d have used, I figured what’s to be gained by piling on. I’m all for pointing out the error, but like you said some people get so harsh with it. Everyone makes mistakes

That picture...

The Internet is not always great with that particular distinction. At first I was bothered by the language and considered saying something, then I felt bad for her after some of the responses I read, then by the end I wanted to give her wine so she could put today behind her.

Animal shapes, that is great. It’s also a nice way to celebrate the holidays; a shamrock for St. Patrick’s Day, a heart for Valentine’s, a donkey on Election day.

She could nail the Andy Garcia role. Or Tilda Swinton!

I like the original, although I’m a sucker for those guys and I like seeing old Vegas. That doesn’t change the fact that this could be great and with the right cast I’ll be there opening weekend.

I want to see Helen Mirren in the middle of it turn to whomever is next to her and start to say “I’m getting too old for this sh...” stop herself with a chuckle and then just do the hell out of whatever she’s doing.

I’d think #TeamMsMarvel, you know, to rile up the Trumpers

Worked there briefly myself (probably not as long as you) I think with Sanders it’s a matter of his look fitting his Senate reputation, but Sherrod Brown (another one who I don’t want as a Veep choice only because we need him to stay where he is) totally gets away with it because it’s the “he’s got more important

I’m all about the topiary, though creativity is so critical if you go that route. For example Mrs. Wiggum likes to do a nice hammerhead for SharkWeek (great whites are so three years ago) and did a Millennium Falcon before the new Star Wars. She tried to do the Olympic rings but couldn’t make it work, so now for the

Seriously, what the hell. It’s butterscotch or GTFO

Oh I know I’m not alone, I’m surprised by some of the commenters way more active than I am who are still gray. That’s why I wasn’t sure if there was like a spell from the Gawkronimicon I had to chant in ancient tongue or something. I may be confusing it with AV Club (if I recall, there you sacrifice 80's pop-culture

Absolutely, the state level is so critical. Look at how many governors screwed their citizens by blocking federal programs and services to make a point, or the impact of state legislators on voter’s rights, women’s rights, LGBT...I unfortunately could go on and on. Judges and school boards shape everyday lives now and

I know what you meant; I’d love to see the light some day

I don’t want you to jinx it, as it is I worry my gray might get on and contaminate you. It’s just discouraging, I’ve stopped bothering to comment from time to time because the futility of speaking into the abyss can be frustrating, so I was just hoping there was some secret, perhaps a series of Herculean labors or

He is, because he has the anti-intellectualism of Palin, the bigoted approach of Peter King and Steve King, and the belligerent entitlement and misogyny of his key white male demographic. Plus he’s a white man, which seriously, is always what Republicans were going to nominate.

Her show has been everything I hoped for and more, and her Trump game has been absolutely on point.
