If you really want to discuss the question of opposing political views, a more pertinent hypothetical in relation to this column seems like it would have been, “What about voters who are concerned about the deficit?”

Obviously your brother’s healthcare costs are more important to you than random voter’s job, but I don’t think there’s some obvious shared value there...

I had the same problem with eShakti. I did actually send them my measurements—I did one custom and one off-the-rack item, as a test, and the custom one actually fit worse. They were nice and do seem willing to work with you if you have a problem—I didn’t bother trying, so I don’t know if they could have fixed the fit.

Coming here for vacation. Tupiniquim and I were talking about tourism. My friend has no desire to live in the U.S.

Where did I “compliment” him? I just pointed out what I think is an interesting fact, considering his record and the rest of the party.

It occurred to me later that he apparently has a much easier time attacking women than standing up for them, so maybe it wasn’t out of character after all.

Yes, good reminder. That Kellyanne thing is just so out of character that I find it interesting, so I wanted to post it.

Chaffetz did actually recommend punishing Kellyanne for her Ivanka advertisement. Which is very confusing considering the rest of him.

No one whose picture I posted would have been considered mainstream back in the day (not including John Gilbert)—that would have been Phil Collins—and I included more than one textbook representative of New Wave. Among punks I don’t remember shaved cuts other than the buzzed-all-over thing and Mohawks (of course),

Spencer’s not together enough to appreciate a nicer suit. Fear not.

Did you see that he sticks his ties together with Scotch tape?!

My memory is that the 80's haircut was short on the sides and long on top, but it was not this severely shaved Erich Von Stroheim quasi-military thing.

Interesting. I had to look up “no platformed”—it doesn’t seem like this situation fits the definition at all, since she was allowed to speak.

Oh, dang, I didn’t even read that part. Just closed the window.

I’ve heard the suggestion that students should have bought all the tickets to his UC Berkeley speech and then just not shown up, instead of protesting and calling more attention to him. Unfortunately that would never have happened, but I would have LOVED to see his face when he appeared at his “sold-out show” and was

I really want to respond to this, but I’m not a therapist, so I might say the wrong thing. I’m sorry you had to deal with this stuff at such a young age.

I’m glad she gave that doctor the boot!

That is insane. I am not trying to justify what the doctor did, but I feel compelled to mention this: I did see a good documentary by an Indian-American woman that said there are areas in the U.S. where women are pressured about this, which really surprised me. It looks like the whole documentary is on Archive.org:

Disney villains are always the most popular characters when it comes to collectibles.
