@RachelConquers: Taken literally, obviously being her father anything he says or does can be taken as "fatherlike". It's the handoff part that makes me bristle. I would say the same thing to my own father if he had the gall to tell someone he was handing me off. Wasn't his job done as a father when she graduated…
