Switched at Birth is awesome and I have no shame about watching it! It’s a model for treating a unique community with respect. That show has been really wonderful to the deaf community- visibility, respect, employing many deaf actors. From the beginning, this show was not at all afraid to allow deaf characters to

Ugh. It’s pervasive. Down to little things like a girl I know who, upon having kids, has completely changed her vocabulary to this crazy third person. So instead of “man, tough day, I’m tired” she’ll say “whew! this mamma is beat!” Yes, we know you have crotchfruit. Move along.

yessssssss. Pocket size person here and a nice short sack dress is where it’s at. I also am fairly small but have a pretty aggressive hourglass (not complaining!) so it’s nice to wear something that doesn’t make me look so BAM in your face boobs and hips.

I read this as “we won’t want to do it because doing it means Grandma’s dead.” Which, fair.

Ugh I loved mall makeovers. Still miss it. Also I generally miss Millihelen because I was not grey there. It was a magnificent existence.

Also, people were HORRIBLE to her. Like I know she’s a bit of a nonsense person but how is it ok for gossip blogs to continually publish pieces gleefully zooming in on her swollen feet and speculating about her weight gain? Can’t blame her for wanting a surrogate,

Also, desperate to marry by 27 and having a backup kick in at 28? Shit, I missed that one.

and Bill Pullman, always and forever my imaginary husband

Oh! and Cristela Alonzo. I do think she’s funnier to me because a lot of her jokes are about hispanic culture so it’s very relevant to me, but still hilarious.

Not on netflix, but Sarah Millican is sooooo funny. And totally disproves Iliza’s point because she talks about sex and her undercarriage quite a lot, but manages to do it in a very charming and unique sort of way. It’s a softer humor but definitely hilarious.

Other Cinci expats- is EVERYONE you know back home just losing their shit over fiona? It’s nonstop. Nonstop. The whole city is obsessed.

Yep. This kid is from my hometown. Good kid. It was really hard to hear, so I can’t even imagine what it was like for his close friends and family to hear so much blame heaped on a kid who, at the worst, made a silly choice. Our Main Street is lined with blue and white ribbons for Otto today (high school colors).

These aren’t the prettiest things but look passably nice if ordered in black. I wore them alllllllllllllll over SE asia. hours and hours of monsoon season wearing and they were still comfortable and in good (if muddy) shape.

I want to because I like Torrance Coombs but it just looks so absurd.

Now playing

Why are little mix not bigger in the US? They’re so good. No bleating goat Camilla, just great voices. This is such a better jam than work from home.

I really, really like it. Like, bought it on vinyl like it. I was very happily surprised.

semi-outing myself but luckily he moved around a lot- I went to high school with her fiance and he’s a cool lovely person so I assume she’s gotta be cool as hell as well.

I’ve accepted it. My music snob friend also gave me permission to like his album (even though I was damn well gonna do it anyway because it sounds like a mashup of all my favorite dad rock. Ever Since New York could be a Ryan Adams song.

Thanks! Lifesaver.
