Agreed. I don’t remember the bomb in the book but Ashford was a very different character there and didn’t need much rational motivation to try to destroy the ring.  I would have preferred if the show had avoided the whole Ashford Ahab thing and mad it more of a rational decision on his part.  It seemed like that’s the

If the show makes it past Cibola Burn you will get your wish.

I agree with most of what you said, other than Strait’s performance. The reluctant hero, especially one this idealistic, is always a tough part to play and usually pretty thankless. It’s not as flashy a role as Miller, Amos or Avasarala but I think Strait does a good job finding what subtleties are to be found in

I agree with the reviewer that the storyline took some shortcuts in the last episode. I would have preferred the show continue it’s slow burn approach. I am concerned that the producers are going to start feeling obligated to burn through the books at a faster clip than they have been. Also the nuclear bomb and

Same here. It is very rare I ever watch anything twice anymore. I just don’t have the time.

So she’s the one who will need to lean in for the kiss.  Got it.

Ah... didn’t know there was a specific name for it.  Thanks for responding.

What is a packing drawer?

Honestly, they could skip over a lot of the book if they chose to and reach the end of it next week.  I’m hoping they stick with the storyline of the book but I read somewhere that the producers said the season will not end on a cliffhanger so maybe they will reach the end of the book.  I don’t think they will

I read the books and even I felt dread when Naomi found Alex floating in the mess deck.

You outta time, baby!

It’s not the way I saw Anna at all when I read the books.  Now I can’t see the role any other way.

The doc crew was headed to the Martian ship but we never saw them arrive.  I think the only time we saw the inside of the Martian ship was when we checked in with Bobbi there.  Perhaps that would have been one set too many.

Fire pretty.

I could see this, but I’d be surprised if the show goes this way.

I agree.  Book spoilers should be marked.

I don’t believe Amos is upset with her so much as he was still out of it from the crash and whatever drugs he was being pumped with. He may not understand why she needed to leave to figure out that the Roci is her home but he will be quick to accept her return.

I thought the marines’ attitudes toward Holden made sense. From their point of view Holden captains a stolen Martian gun ship, just killed a bunch of people in a terrorist attack, fled into this bizarre alien pocket universe, entered an alien space station for no discernible reason where one of their own was killed.

Another effect, along with Tilly’s tears, that took me a moment to understand what I was seeing. And like Tilly’s tears, once I understood, it made me love this show all the more.

For me, his simple response of “okay” was him admitting his confusion at why she wouldn’t have already known that but also acknowledging that his mind doesn’t work the way everybody else’s does so he won’t question why she had to leave. He accepts that she did what she had to do, for reasons he doesn’t understand, to
