That was Holden reacting to something Miller said.
That was Holden reacting to something Miller said.
Pretty sure it was just Holden reacting to Miller. Miller can only be seen/heard by one person at a time because of the nature of his being (that he is only a manifestation of one particular mind).
Compared to what happened to the marines in the book, these guys look like they’re going to get off pretty easy.
That “freaking” out of Amos was just painful. Why is Syfy being so conservative with this show? Isn’t this the same network that brought us Happy? Once you show Chris Meloni being raped with a comically large dildo you don’t get to feign concern for the precious ears of the children.
Bleep? The episode I saw replaced “fucking” with “freaking” and it detracted from the scene. Once you’ve established that the word “fuck” exists in your show no one should ever say “freaking” again unless it’s a character thing. Can’t wait for the next season to be on Amazon.
stopping the ships without killing anyone
Nope, the Zach Snyder one in your head made considerably less.
Miller was in quite a bit more than the last five minutes of last week’s episode, but you are correct that more Miller is always a good thing.
I know I’m late to this party but I had to point out that Coruscant is where Menace grinds to a halt. You could skip directly from Tatooine back to Naboo and not miss much of anything.
They could be the new Cagney and Lacey.
I love the Behemoth bridge and that they didn’t have time to remove or cover over all of the religious iconography. I am wondering when or if we’re going to see the inside of the drum.
I actually let out a laugh at the balls of ending the episode after they passed out. I was glad to see that it wasn’t actually the end but it wouldn’t have bothered me if it was.
The Roci, like The Expanse, is being uploaded to the Cloud.
It would be strange if there wasn’t a variety of different belter accents given how many different stations there are and how spread apart they are. I haven’t been paying close enough attention though to judge whether the accents have been consistent based on where the characters are from.
I binged all the available books after season 1 and have picked up each subsequent one as they came out. It’s like when you binge a show on Netflix and like it enough to start watching the new episodes on the normal weekly schedule. It’s a bit frustrating but at least the writers are keeping up a good pace releasing…
If they wish to maintain constant gravity for the entire trip the ships will spend the first half of the trip accelerating and the second half decelerating. That might be why they have been decelerating since the first time we saw the fleet: they were already past the halfway point.
I see this as a possibility, but there’s still a lot of story to unpack for only three episodes. Just because they don’t end on a cliffhanger doesn’t mean they’ll necessarily reach the end of Abbadon’s Gate.
It’s definitely different than the other books and goes further into “fantasical” sci-fi than anything else in the series, but I will be very curious to see how the show pulls it off.
“While I enjoy and admire The Expanse’s ongoing interest in the politics of a solar system divided into three main factions, I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that what I’m really here for is the weird shit. “
I don’t know about the average movie goer but removing Miller and Lord definitely soured me on this film. That and lackluster reviews convinced me to skip opening weekend. My kids still want to see it so we’ll probably go this weekend but I’ll be shooting for one of the cheaper, early shows and I’m definitely not…
