Jalopnik’s editors reside in the comments.

It also doesn’t help that Oshkosh doesn’t have any EV experience or ways to get the economies of scale required to bring the price down on those vehicles.

I argued this in one of my greyed out comments. The Outlander and Journey provided a 3 row options to a whole lot of people who may be priced out of all the other options on the market.

Easy to hate on, but it’s providing a cheap 3-row option for a lot of people who may be priced out of the category. It’s the same reason the Dodge Journey kept having success even 10 years after it was introduced.

I just hope this shows that US customers still have an appetite for cheaper models. With everyone paying $40k+, automakers don’t really see a reason to cater to the lower priced market.

I’ve argued the same, but the fact that people are spending an equal amount of money on a car in the same segment (size-wise at least) but with arguably less content is telling. Clearly more consumers will pay a premium for an electric power unit, than what as traditionally commanded that premium (luxury materials and

1st Gear: Hot take - The Roadster, Cybertruck, and Semi are all boondoggles wasting time, energy, and resources delivering on low volume, low profit vehicles because Elon is product planning with his feelings.

When are we going to get the sweet, sweet, deets on the red FC I spotted the other day?

1st Gear: It’s easy to make grandiose plans. But I’ve yet to see a cohesive way for Stellantis to achieve the goals they’ve set up. It’s hard enough to get two companies to merge and work cohesively together in 10 years (see Chrysler and Fiat) let alone completely shift the product line to a new technology. They’ll do

Call me crazy, and there are definitely some moral grounds to do so (global warming is now, not in 5 years), but I feel like this contract would have been better suited to be awarded 5 years from now when more infrastructure is available, and larger economies of scale and battery performance are available with the

All they really have to do is open Tesla up to the possibility of being sued by customers. All the fine print puts onus on their customers when most things go wrong, but that can’t continue forever, there has to be a point when Tesla is more liable than the driver.

Apparently “luxury” is just related to price, because the Model 3's interior is anything but “luxurious

All I really wonder is what level of validation testing Apple does on these accessories.

Sounds like the thought process of someone who thinks that Porsche owners wouldn’t want an SUV.

Alright buddy, I’m going to let you go. Clearly, you can’t handle even the lightest of trolling. But hey, if you put this much time and energy into literally anything else, I’m sure you’d be able to solve world hunger. And with that, I bid you adieu.

...liar... Cunt asshole.

What horrible name calling and labeling!! Fucking liar cunt.” -lus

“Look at my comments: they’re name calling and labeling others” -lus

No, I don’t. If you’d be honest you’d see that I only respond with name calling and labeling others” -lus

Oh cool, you have the same strategy of name calling and labeling others.
