I’d say that other companies are more open to lawsuits so they make them as reliable and safe as possible. If automatic braking with a traditional automaker caused a crash, then yeah, the company can be sued. So they make these systems as full proof as possible. Maybe “quality” means something between us. But typically within the industry “quality” refers to defect free products, not so much how nice the vehicle is. And in the quest for defect free products, it is much better to have much fewer variants to potentially screw up. So spreading out the same components across many

Also, sit back to back in a Silverado and an equivalently priced Ram and tell me the Chevy is highly competitive. It isn’t. The interior is mailed in. It’s egregious on the higher trims.

I’m honestly amazed the frame has enough structural integrity that it actually stays straight and isn’t bent between the cab and the bed.

No, he is saying they need to focus on the quality issues of their bread and butter. Launching a product with no issues. But yes the trucks are the bread and butter of GM’s product line.

I’m honestly upset they dropped the technology. The problem was the form factor. No one wants a sedan. They could have dropped it in an Equinox and easily doubled the sales at least.

You can definitely argue that these moves make GM a stronger company that is focused on profits over losing money in markets they won’t succeed.
