The AT4... completely unrelated to the CT4 or XT4.... ah the marketing wisdom here.

I use to think Subaru fucks, now I realize that they do not.
Lowering prices would indeed sell more cars. However, just because sales are going down, it doesn’t mean profits are. I’m sure we’ll have a better idea of the profits last year in the next month or two. The only way that prices will come down is if the rising cost of vehicles starts preventing enough people from…
Seriously. Nissan is in no place to be divorcing their partner. I see nothing but corporate turmoil and old, stagnant product on their side. I mean, I understand that Renault is a smaller company and produces fewer vehicles. And I can understand that the work culture in Japan is about as different as you can get vs…
Eh, they’ve become stagnant each time for different reasons, but almost always stemming from the top (CEO). But I mean, in this case, I think he was building a company that could help another company make short term profits while correcting FCA’s future products to meet regulatory and consumer requirements. And…
I can’t speak for myself as I’m not positive that I’ve experienced a vehicle with this piped in noise.... Maybe a mustang (can’t confirm, but it sounded good).
I also left in this timeframe. As far as I could tell, they were putting all their resources into the Wrangler and Ram, which themselves were being delayed at the time. Anything else seemed to be a facelift. Personally, I thought Sergio was dumping all the money into crossovers/trucks to maximize short term profits.…
I’m not sure those are all the top reasons for people not getting EV’s. I’m pretty sure the infrastructure is a huge one..... In fact, I stopped writing this comment at this point and actually looked up this study.
Neutral: You have to realize that sales numbers do not have a direct correlation to profits just because one goes up, it doesn’t mean the other will as well (even if this is the case most of the time).
They did make a Spark EV for a while. It was a compliance vehicle to meet California’s requirements, so it didn’t have much range. No one bought them. Sounds like what you’re looking for is a Bolt. But even those don’t sell all that well. People prefer form factor over how the wheels are driven. Just look at the…
1st Gear: Sales were down, but I bet profits are up. There are higher profit margins on Trucks, SUVs, and crossovers than the sedans they are abandoning.
I’m actually 100% on board with a Carbon tax. Take a look at Canada’s. At the end of the year (income tax time), everyone gets their money back from what they were taxed that year. So, it has the affect of making people change their behaviors throughout the year, but in the end, they don’t lose money. And on top of…

2nd Gear:
I feel you, but I was a in a serious accident due to other drivers a couple years ago. If the car that started it had automatic braking, everything would have been avoided, same with the subsequent vehicles wrecking. Despite my best efforts to avoid everything, I just can’t count on the others around me. I’d much…
A couple points here
You can use the Volt as a good test case. I hear really good things about the longevity of the batteries. The thing I’d worry about is resale value as batteries rapidly advance. I don’t want to buy a 200 mi range car, just for an equivalent 400 mi range car to come out 2 years later.
Ah, the Daily Driver/Project car combo. A disastrous choice for those that indulge.
As someone that has driven 15+ year old vehicles for the past 15 years.... I can really appreciate the reliability of a new vehicle. I don’t don’t have the patience and time to be constantly fixing my vehicle..... but the fact I’ve probably spent $7000-$8000 total between two vehicles over that time still pulls me…
