my mom has been taking him to Mass general so I feel confident that he has been getting great care. He takes a bunch of pills every night and I do think the medication has delayed some things but there is only so much that can be done. We all have to soldier on i suppose.

This is absolutely correct. My dad was in politics before I was born and he got a lot of flak from catholic priests in his community for being pro-choice. After that he was like, HARD PASS.
