They really should be taken to court for this. Licenses expiring is a common thing in digital distribution. The solution is to pull the licensed content from the store, not user libraries. That’s been the standard practice for games, I don’t see why it should be any different for movies or TV shows.

Smaller apps selling out to large corps essentially means death to that app. The corps don’t understand what it is they’ve bought, oftentimes don’t even understand WHY they bought it, so they start mistreating the app and letting it languish and drive away customers, until it is in such a sad state they can just kill…

Also, how about NASA dropping its contracts with SpaceX until Musk no longer owns it and is out of the picture? (Of course, they’ve painted themselves into a corner with that, and the “We need Starship” thing.)
