Inverting the typical progression of a game would be great for that. usually you just get stronger and stronger over the course of a game. It would be great to have the first few levels with the heavy smart guns, turrets, a bunch of Marine teammates etc., and after a few big encounters you whittle down the Marines,

Absolutely. I won’t knock the movie for it, because Cameron’s always been good at that ‘so long as you move confidently - and fast enough - people won’t notice the holes’ approach, but it’s definitely one of those ‘the xenomorphs’ blood does exactly as much damage as the plot dictates it should’ type things.

Dark stuff, my dude

Bravo

Yeah, the employees are absolutely no concern to the investors... in fact, the employees being treated like shit is a primary reason they have seen profits going up over the last several years. They are no different than the company leaders in that regard... protecting the cash cow is always going to be more important

I bet Capcom could fix Street Fighter V in less time than it takes for Guilty Gear Strive to reach the main menu. 😏

I was playing Crosscode last year and ran into a boss late in the game that I just couldn’t beat. Spent hours on this dumb boss before I remembered the game has some really good difficulty sliders (damage received, enemy attack frequency, puzzle speed). Made some tweaks and the fight was much more fun.

Regardless of my opinion of the actual game as a whole, The Last of Us II gets miles of credit for me just because it had difficulty options like this. I wound up with about a third of the sliders set lower than ‘normal’, a third set higher, and a third left alone. Having that granular level of control let me

Hell, I summoned help on about 90% of DS3 bosses and am happy with my decision.  Thank you and those like you for being there.

Funny how none of those cryptos are the big movers and shakers in town, thus meaning that the point the article makes is still utterly valid. As long as Bitcoin and Ethereum (and yes of course, Ethereum is just about to go Proof of Stake definitely any day now) are Proof of Work, this means nothing more than going

Cops are not an identity group, they’re a profession. It is impossible to commit a “micro-aggression” against someone for being a fucking cop. They have made a choice to become instruments of state violence and racist oppression and deserve all the scorn and mockery that they get for that.

You mean the games that OTHER people make? And grant them the right to sell as part of charitable events? Those games?

The idea, especially in America, that your business must always be growing is poison.

Then you are a fool.

I agree difficulty could be done a lot better and l4d is a great example. I also think devs have the right to focus on what ever they want BUT it is a problem that most triple A developers are more concerned with graphics than gameplay balance.

“If From went back and added an actual difficulty option to the games where enemies are half as tanky and hit half as hard it wouldn’t make the game worse for anyone unless they picked it.”

I literally farmed Abyss Watchers for fun just to help people move on with the game.
