“the register doesnt exist to further punish. It exists to protect vulnerable members of society.”

Somehow I’ve managed to find a lot of woman wanting to marry me despite not having a car, home, much of a job, OR being interesting.

It’s a dwindling population for sure, but there are still a lot of women out there who WANT to need a man and try to talk men into being the traditional breadwinning husband and all that. My wife was one - her dream was to be a SAHM like her mom and stay home and bake cookies and have a husband who just left the house

You really need multiple people to meet all of those needs. That conflicts with a lot of marital expectations. I could see marriage working when both parties understand that it’s too much to ask of your spouse to be everything in your life, but why bother?

I think marriage is a bad deal for all parties, anyway. The less woman need marriage and the more men can let go of their overly romantic delusions, the better.

Our electoral system is built precisely so you and others can talk everyone into this false satisfaction of having “done something” (and thus ending any responsibility as a citizen) by voting, while people involved in real change are doing (or not doing) other things. “I Voted” is the most shallow superficial

His voting record is irrelevant. If anything voting reinforces the false narrative that it’s the most important thing that any citizen can do and the end all be all of civic duty, without examining any of the substantive issues with our electoral system. In other words, the irrational obsession with voting or not

I’ve gotten 3 women pregnant a lot sooner than a week. (Not saying this is a good thing, but it’s my life as someone who does not even get much sex).

A lot of people want to get pregnant. I assume more now that it’s a proven revenue generator on reality tv and not just a financial drain like all those posters in school tell you.

So you can spend more on food in a week than the cash price of your house.

“voted for a black president twice in order to put this stuff to bed.”

Just discovered this series of articles, and now I’m not going to get any sleep. I love reading these stories.

I reluctantly took a low level job at one of the companies mentioned and their stock was one of the supposed selling points. They have some pretty graphs about total compensation once you stay there 2,3,5, 10 years and so on. It looks nice, for the type of job it is. However, I think they make it close to impossible

That’s one way to look at it, but it’s good to have evidence, too.

Just wondering if only white people eat at places like Waffle House, too. Because as far as I can tell, that’s not the case but all chain places like that are very bland. Cracker Barrel didn’t seem that bland when I ate there with some relatives and the dining room was about 50/50 white/non-white. What are some

Neshak sounds like an entitled millennial and I am personally deeply offended by him shaming Greinke for his mental illness.

I don’t support him in any way but I feel a little bit sad for people who hate everyone because they can’t get laid.

“the #77 slot on Billboard’s top 100 list this week, making her the youngest person ever to make the chart.”

I hope the ESPN employee responsible is fired for perpetuating bigoted anti-Irish stereotypes.

“first-degree felonies, such as murder, don’t have enhancements because those crimes already carry a penalty of five to 99 years in prison.” Don’t they just kill 1st degree murderers in Texas? Or maybe that’s only if they kill a white guy.
