I’m amazed that rush hour is still a thing. There are fewer and fewer jobs that actually require you go to an office. Telecommuting adds years to your life. I used to sit in the car for three hours a day. Three hours times 40 years is a lot of hours wasted.

I borrowed one of these from a friend to move once. It hauled a bed of furniture and whatnot at highway speeds for over a hundred miles without a sweat.

Toyota made Prius to do exactly one thing and it does that exceptionally well. Give the Prius another chance. It may just be a fuel-sipping space pod, but it’s the best at what it’s made to do. And I respect it for that.

Crosswinds within the aircraft limits are common and only mildly challenging to a professional pilot. If the winds were out of limits, (which they did not appear to be) it was a procedure violation to even attempt. This pilot screwed up and applied incorrect rudder input after touchdown. Not skillful at all, major screw up. Skillful landings are the ones that look easy under challenging conditions.

The biggest difference to the US is that in Europe running cars tend to depreciate to €500, while in the US a running car will almost always be at least $2000. Probably due to the lax inspections (if any) in the US.
