I never went to Bury. It’s not a place I frequented. So for me to walk away from Bury and never go back is a very easy thing to do. I don’t do anything up there. I didn’t even know there was a football team called Bury to be honest with you. I’m not a football fan.

Tokyo here as well! I used to go to the Kawasaki one until I moved to northern Tokyo and began going to the Shinmisato one. For Kawasaki, I usually took the bus from Kawasaki station, but the first few times I took one of the Keikyu branch lines and walked 20 minutes from the station to Costco. That part of Kawasaki

Similar story here when I lived in Japan ten years ago: it was easily a 1.5 hour, 2-bus transfer ride each way to the Costco. The legroom on Japanese buses made Spirit feel like Emirates first class.

The availability of decent cheese and cold cuts were my main consideration: I’m no fancy cheese or charcuterie boy, but

Yeah, plus if your vehicle needs premium, the difference between that and regular is much smaller at Costco than in other places. At Shell the difference between regular and V-Power is usually 80 cents; at Costco, it’s more like 25-40 cents at most. Add to the lower cost for Costco gas, you betcha I’m idling.

To be honest, I don’t even bother looking for it because the places where I would be most likely to order it—faux-British Isles pubs—have the problem of the, like you said, bready batter for the fish.  They also invariably use steak or crinkle-cut fries, which I really dislike.

But the chicken-fried style of H. Salt

I’m a huge Mad Men fan, but the H. Salt reference definitely passed me by; yesterday was the first time I had heard of it.

I do remember Burger Chef, of course. And who could forget Pizza House?

Agreed, I’ve gotten into macros and ring lights are a godsend. I have the Neewer, but my main gripe with is that none of the filter options really creates natural-looking light. I bring it with me, but I would definitely pay more for a ring light that had a dial-a-color temperature.

On Hollywood sets, this is known as “Kraft Services.”

I know I should stick to sports but I enjoy talking about handjobbers.

Andrew Luck’s retirement will only increase the primal urgency of Football Men to find True Football Believers to play football, so that they don’t ever question their faith in it.

And it just reaffirms what I would be thinking if I were Luck: I’ve gotten plenty of money, I’m a smart dude who has interests outside of football, and the NFL/Colts/Indy are such a trifecta of toxicity that I’m better off exchanging CTE and more money for lots of money and some sweet, sweet travel.

If I were Luck, I’d

Allison wins for me by virtue of the The Aviation, though I really like French 75 as well—two of the Round 3 choices were spectacular.

But if we’re giving support to trashy, trailer hubcap margaritas, where’s the love for mojitos?  Yeah, it’s more ice, sugar, wet mint leaves than anything else...but dammit, it’s

Solskjaer was probably just pissed because prefers to play wide and horizontal, not narrow and vertical and Romelu doesn’t fit those plans.

At the time, restaurant owner Kimberly Sanchez both acknowledged and upheld the practice, responding to the review by declaring that “We PROUDLY SERVE Popeyes spicy tenders - the best fried chicken anywhere and from New Orleans - which are delivered twice a day.”

Watch his staff print out the headline to send to the First Lady’s office whenever he can’t get off of Twitter.

Yeah, and the toaster and steamer options honestly do jobs like toasting leftover pizza or last night’s dinner more effectively than the microwave, with tastier results.  There’s a time penalty, but I’ve generally found it worth it.

Not low enough. This man’s a Kyrstal* devotee.

*same goes for his drugs

...I just said that I don’t own a microwave.
