Yale is need-blind in admissions and it has one of the most generous financial aid policies in the country (if you come from a family that makes $65,000 or less, Yale is free). I have so many stories from friends at Yale who had to fight their guidance counselors to apply only to find out that at the end of the

Yeah I feel that, but I think even the crazy parents wouldn’t have much of a problem with that picture, even they would get that its just a cute candid family pic (in a fairly demure bikini) and I think even they understand that bikinis are relatively normal, especially when one is ON A BOAT these days.

That’s why she shut down comments on her instagram. So she could ignore the trolls.

Wouldn’t those parents have a bigger problem with the fact that she stars on a different show featuring a married gay couple?

Yeah I was kind of shocked by that too, since I’ve never seen her not in Modern Family context. It could just be that she’s kind of petite so it just looks really long comparatively, those toddlers are not that much shorter than she is.

But when you think about how much movies make, the profit has to go somewhere. The studio can’t just unilaterally decide to donate the money to charity or something. Actors are a significant factor in the success of a film (and often times, stars like Jennifer Lawrence can be the single factor that determines whether

Yeah, that is totally true. Like how would you like to know you are making $3 MILLION less because you are a woman. Regardless of what you are making either way, that’s fucking gross.

I totally see your point about how its off-putting to have people complain about equal pay when the difference is getting paid $5 million instead of $10 million per movie or whatever, but unfortunately they are much better placed to speak out about this than many other women for a few reasons. Salaries in Hollywood

Can we also talk about what a shillfest Weekend Update was for Trump? I am probably more terrified of a Ben Carson presidency than a Trump presidency (which is saying a lot), and admittedly he did some eminently mockable shit this week, but the first few minutes of Weekend Update felt like it was a Trump attack ad on

It’s terrifying when Donald Trump is the comparative voice of reason...

I totally get that, even if I find it disturbing. But there was nothing “alleged” about this guy. He confessed and eventually pled guilty. It’s not like he got a great plea bargain out of the deal and based on the fuckwits in his town (and the evidentiary problem that the crimes were committed over 10 years ago) he

They think his confession was coerced, which is like 100% insane.

I think its more that iTunes has largely the same interface as it did when it began and they have just kept adding to it, creating some Frankenstein’s monster instead of radically redoing it to match what it is now and how people interact with such programs today.

I mean that presentation font is garbage, but I had literally forgotten that Apple used to use serif font. What were they thinking? What was anyone thinking? Am I old now? Is this what people my age back then thought when they looked at the ‘70s?

The layout is fine (although the slightly larger than normal keys were an issue at first for touch typing), its the extremely shallow travel of the keys thats a problem. They are far more flat than typical keys. It feels like typing on a hard surface.

CRUCIAL EDIT

Honestly, I think their failure was more of a failure to understand how much of a game changer iTunes would be than anything else. In and of itself, the iPod was nothing more than a more intuitive and better designed, but far more expensive version of a niche product in a market where music companies were still

Yeah, I was totally wrong about that one too. It might be personal though, because even though I have an iPad from work, I still haven’t really found a niche it fits in my life that isn’t filled by my iPhone or laptop...

Agree to an extent, especially on 1st generation Apple products. I just returned the new MacBook for a MacBook Pro because the keyboard made my fingers sad and even if USB-C is the future, it’s not the present and I resent buying dongles/having to share the only port into my computer with the power cord.
