I challenge anyone in SoCal to try and get a “deal” this weekend from a BMW dealer. These people are the stingiest mothers around.

The Ford Focus is two parts welded together. A mechanic I know will take a good front and good rear, undo the welds, and then sew the good parts together with carbon fiber. I kid you not. He then sells them and clears a bunch of money for very little effort. I’d love to see what would happen to one of them in a car…

Owning a Fit, I have to admit with an MT it’s a blast to drive. For some weird reason I love terrorizing BMWs with it. They get so angry my little econo box is even near them they always mash the throttle to take off. One of the best cars I’ve ever owned.

This was the best part of the show, I laughed so hard. You Americans are just way too sensitive. You guys need to learn how to laugh at yourselves and stop being so vain. You really are just a bunch of hillbillies.

Speaking as a former Volkswagen owner, this isn’t surprising at all. The Volkswagen corporate people could care less about what owners go through with their cars. The dealers, not much better from my experience as an owner. None of the misery these people are going through is a surprise.

I still think that was one of the best looking cars ever.

For the sake of aero, these cars have become hideously ugly. Change the way they look and you’ll get more people wanting to watch these races. Right now it’s just an ugly festival.

Agreed, there needs to be a greater failure factor.
