About that bit of untruth about Black people being the reason that Prop 8 happened in California: Black people are nowhere near the majority there, so it is simply impossible. Also: Not all Black people are religious. Not all Black people are homophobic. Some Black people are LGBT themselves. One thing we all have in

There are four women, I believe.

Last night, Kentucky elected a crazy man. His name is Matt Bevin

Whatever point you think you are making isn’t working. When 90% of the population is apathetic about basic human rights, that really says something about a city, and it’s not positive.

The sure turned blue when they voted for Wendy Davis...oh shit.

This isn’t surprising. Just look at some of the crimes that are happening in Houston lately; it’s basically Florida #2. People in that city are kinda dumb so I expected this. I doubt saying, “it’s for trans people” would make it better for obvious reasons I love Texas but.....yeah.

How can she miss the fucking point any more? Colonialism has left some of the most critical nations on the brink of collapse and if they do collapse then they will take the whole region with them. The least Europe can do is clean up their wildly cataclysmic, racist mess.

Fucking eye roll. The same person who bragged about securing the white vote and how people should “get over” slavery and colonialism is laying on the pro-blackness kind of thick.

You guys, just because abortion being illegal is bad doesn’t mean decriminalizing drugs is also bad.

People who travel legally in Iran rarely encounter problems. If Iran doesn’t want you there, they won’t give you a visa. Generally it is not that difficult to get a tourist visa, at least not any more so than any other country with strict visa requirements. US citizens on a tourist visa are required to go on an

this article had flaws—but are you seriously suggesting that’s all that happens in Iran? get out

Oh, really? I mean, obviously an actual war zone would be dangerous but the vast majority of the “Middle East” is not a war zone. You have to be careful not to offend people but the same could be said for foreigners traveling through Small Town, U.S.A.

I’m leaning towards Bernie, but I don’t know if I’ll vote for either in either election. I cannot stand Clinton and I cannot stand either of their supporters. Black people (and people of color, in general) really need to work fucking hard to get solid candidates with solid followers in the next election. I really

that’s a rally silly and poorly founded comparison. they are more close structurally to occupy wall street. the tea party sprang from a rejection of taxation about a decade ago and has always been based in conservative politics, though, this stance veered far more to the right than in the past.

Looking at how her supporters are reacting to this incident, and how Bernie’s supporters reacted when he was similarly protested, what sticks out to me is the insistence on defending the candidates, as if the worst thing to happen here was Your Candidate’s Honor being tarnished. No, what’s important here is racial

Have you seen the video of the Latino protester being spit on as he is expelled from a Trupm rally?

She responded the way she did because BLM has no leverage over her, and she doesn’t need to appeal to them to get the black vote. The other candidates have been pushed (though protests notoriously similar to this one) to lay out specific policy and they have. She hasn’t, even after meeting with them.

Lack of courage? Oh, come on! Protesting Bernie Sanders ended up being a suprisingly effective tactic to get people talking about racial justice, and to push these candidates to lay out real policy.

“Pleasing” these people, in this case, means laying out policy. Hillary has yet to get specific about a racial justice platform and that is what they are pushing for. This shit actually works.
