No the stand up in question went well beyond the ignorant white girl thing. The sketches to me are good comedy but her stand up is straight up racist.

One is regularly lampooned on Jez (for good reason) the other is treated like Jesus reincarnate on Jez.

I find it crazy sooooo many people haaated Lisa Lampanelli when Jez did that ill advised interview with her but at the same time sooooo many of the same exact people are enamored with Schumer. Their stand up acts are quite literally carbon copies of each other.

Nah just repeating the LAZIEST racist stereotypes is not ‘moving between personas’ - she prefaces the joke by saying “I’m racist” but people are not laughing at her racism, they’re laughing at the stereotype because she doesn’t build up the racist persona.
