Speaking of which, how about this new Supreme Court case over whether it’s okay to keep black people off death row juries. The death penalty is fucking disgusting.

Are you asking because you are unaware of and/or can’t find the data ... or are you struggling to make some kind of point?
Not to mention that fact that innocent people get convicted. A lot.
If someone is reformed and they can make a positive impact on society why not let them?
A lot of the answer is right there in your second sentence.
I am pretty sure the crazy people on MBFGW are to Irish Travellers as the people on Jersey Shore are to Italian Americans... as in, a small subset fueled by much alcohol abuse.
Oh okay. Shitty. :\
My mom and grandmother are currently watching a new reality show about giving poor people 1 million dollars and forcing them to choose between their base survival instincts (keep the money) and their sense of humanity (donate some of it to another needy family) for our entertainment. America has no business wagging…
I’m a disabled person who works part-time at a non-profit and who lives in one of the poorest parts of the UK, where wages for even full-time workers are well below the national average. But whenever I feel sad about this, I can now take comfort in the fact that my standard of living apparently represents quality…
This is fucking disgusting. I can’t even snark. Jesus, BBC...
again, there’s very little choice outside of catholic schools; people aren’t sending their kids to these places because they want a specifically catholic education. getting the catholic influence out of the school system is a major ongoing issue primarily due to the type of bullshit illustrated above.
Seriously, that sucks.
Pretty much all schools in Ireland are Catholic schools and they all follow the same curriculum so I do think someone’s in trouble.
OK I donated 10 Euro to the abortion support network in your name I just thought you should know! Much respect for turning this conversation around. :)
You know, I was thinking this referendum is great but it doesn’t save lives ... I hadn’t considered its effects on suicide and self-harm in the LGBT community. I see more now why pure celebration is in order as it can offer hope for the future too, for people who really need it.
xxxxx :)
created this dandy account to spread some love here, Jezebel is a great site as your reaction to your conversation indicates. I love the way this turned out :)
Well that’s nice of you! Thank you. I do get really upset about the Catholic churches’ influence and power and harm both as a woman and a FN person. I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade and have been following this vote closely but I see red when people start downplaying the harm that the church continues to cause.…
Also that vote. Travistey that it was was 23 years ago when most of us were too young to vote. stop blaming us for something we couldn’t control.
Nobody’s saying the referendum is the answer to every problem facing oppressed groups. Legalising same-sex marriage is one step to reaching full equality for everyone. It’s not the only step needed.
