I think they're just trying to get people to watch their Tuesday shows.
I think they're just trying to get people to watch their Tuesday shows.
I think the only other realistic possibility would be simply to have Danny not to appear in those episodes. There have been plenty of episodes without Jeremy, for example, even if he was credited. The episode on Tuesday had no Morgan (I think that is the only one since the pilot) so not every character is in every…
Yup. But it's fun to try to figure out what might happen, right? And just as fun to be wrong and see what actually happens. Sort of sit-com meets mystery.
Oh, yeah. I forgot about them. In reality, it would make no sense for Mindy to go to therapy with an ex-lover. Let's hope it makes sense in sit-com land, because I love Brendan!
I'm sure the repeated mentions of Danny wanting to go to couples therapy with Christina (which he actually did do when they reunited in season 2) will result in them going to couples therapy. Can they bring back James Franco for that?
Right. Beverly was still a nurse. Mindy fired her as one in the second episode, and later, she came back as a receptionist because she filed an age discrimination suit.
Great episode. When will it be back from hiatus? And how comforting to know they're actually coming back, not like the last Cliffhanger!
You could be right. However, I do think there is a tendency to assume couples will get together, and it doesn't always happen. For example, I am told that I am the only one who didn't think Liz and Jack (30 Rock) would get together.
I think Claire and Timothy Olyphant's character was supposed to be disturbing. We're not being asked to accept them as a couple. I actually don't see the chemistry between Claire and Dean at all and would much prefer them to stay adversaries. It has happened. Think of Andy and Ann on Parks and Rec.
I had my doubts about the show from the beginning (suspension of disbelief issues) but kept watching because Fred Savage is just so great. Now, it's paying off. This episode was hilarious, and the meta-winks at Fox were my favorite parts. #thetruebarometerofsuccess
Like I said, we're not going to agree. The characters you mention above (two of whom were small recurring roles, one of which was Danny's ex-girlfriend — and one of the office girls was pretty much directly replaced by Tamra) were all season 1 characters who didn't work. Shows change focus, and this show obviously…
We're probably not going to agree. For some reason, Tamra, who has a fairly large role, is discounted as a character by most people who post this stuff (Sometimes — and I'm not saying it's the case with you — it seems like it is important to the Anna Camp camp that there be a pretty white woman on the show). Her part…
I think he'll have an epiphany next week. Someone on another board pointed out that that Christmas Carol reference in the preview probably was NOT coincidental. I think he'll realize he's up against a brick wall if he's trying to force Mindy to stay home. What he'll get if they break up is even FURTHER from his ideal…
This is a fictional sit-com, not politics. "Random" as far as the plot goes. They presumably didn't set out to do a show about a single mom.
When Gwen was there, she gave Mindy advice on how to get what Gwen had and Mindy wanted, a husband, a home, and a baby. She assured Mindy it would happen. But, based upon the show of late, that's no longer what Mindy wants or, at least, no longer ALL Mindy wants. And there are plenty of female characters. I don't…
This is an issue with virtually every sit-com on television because they usually have small casts. When the title characters married on Mike and Molly, Molly's bridesmaids were her sister and another character's very recent girlfriend, implying that Molly had no friends. This despite the fact that she was in a very…
Of course he's not. It's just speculation. Even if they broke up, that wouldn't mean he was leaving the show.
True. That actually didn't ring true for me. I felt Danny would kill it as a stay-at-home dad. Whether that's what he WANTS is a different story (and it clearly is NOT what he wants).
Exactly. The show has always been more serialized than most shows, so this gives them somewhere to go.
I feel they will marry. I mean, from a story standpoint, they're not just going to leave Mindy with a random baby. But I'd love to see Danny be the stay-at-home dad. It's the obvious choice. He's more domestic, better with children, and raised his brother. Or, you know, his mom could stay with the kid, which she is.…
