I loved this show and miss it. Fox tried to get a similar dynamic with Backstrom last season, and Rainn Wilson was good, but the dialogue wasn't smart enough.

Right. It should have been, "but on May 17" instead of, "and then." That would at least have made you think it MIGHT not have been chronological. Tripped me up too.

Wouldn't call that edgy, just silly. He comes across as a guy who has had a very nice life and doesn't have a dark thought ever. He just seems sweet in a Dean Jones type of way. That particular role in Neighbors, had it been played by an edgier actor, would have been uncomfortable to watch, so he was perfect. But to

He was great in Drive, but Drive was a hard movie to watch.

He has kind of a goody-goody thing going that makes him hard to imagine in many non-Disney roles. If he could be a little edgier, I could see him playing roles similar to Matthew Perry's (and, indeed, Perry played "old" Zack Efron in 17 Again), but Matthew Perry has also had a hard time finding his way, other than

So she probably saw the Good Wife episode where the law firm, in response to a discovery request, turned over millions of pages of paper so the other law firm would have to wade through tons of pointless, boring e-mails (like e-mails about television) to find the few relevant ones. I'm a fan of Hillary's but . . .

Wouldn't be any worse than the How I Met Your Mother ending.

Another 2 years probably helped. But also, if their "popular shows" tables are to be believed, Mindy was always in the top row when it had a new episode, often #1. People watched it on Hulu, not Fox.

I'm hoping to see Yeardley Smith back. Her two episodes were funny. Also Niecy Nash.

Presumably, at least part of the reason is because they haven't filmed the episodes. With Mindy, which is obviously a show they are pushing, it ended in spring, they bought it, and the show just started filming a few weeks ago. If they were going to release 20+ episodes at once, they'd have to wait until 2016 to do

That's really sad. Would have been a great legacy.

But she herself has large breasts, which precluded her from high fashion modeling and pushed her more into Sports Illustrated-type stuff, so I'd take that more as advice.

Mmm, But Tyra herself isn't a conventional model type, though. She only was very briefly, then couldn't keep up with the demands to be thin. I know this even though I've barely watched the show (like if someone else is watching it, I might listen) and not having a particular interest in models in general.

Yes. I was just going to type almost this exact comment above. Or Melissa McCarthy. You just wonder at the vitriol about a TV show. If you don't like it, watch something else. And Disqus doesn't police comments at all, even if they're flagged.

Agree. Love her. She definitely has a strong personality, but I suspect if she looked more like Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who also plays completely obnoxious characters 100% of the time, people would have an easier time with it. Melissa McCarthy and Amy Schumer get similar hate.

And Elvis's mother in Blue Hawaii when she was only 10 years older.
