What’s a V6 that doesn’t sound like crap...

while the crimes and Injustice you point out are all very real if you really think this is about altruism or Justice you are mistaken. this is about Koenigsegg feeling the value of it’s good are being misrepresented because it’s worried about the market value of it’s brand.

I don’t think this was a good way for Koenigsegg to correct the record. They should have tweeted, “Quick jump on this One:1 before Bonham’s figures out how much it’s really worth”... which would have alerted Koenigsegg’s Saudi clientele, that follow their Twitter page, this auction is coming up and they need to bid

I am quite certain you have never exceeded the posted speed limit, and are therefore fully qualified to judge the actions of others in such issues.

Question: if Uber/Lyft paid their drivers a guaranteed minimum wage and the cost of doing so was heavily passed onto the paying customer, would you stop using these services in lieu of taxis or public transport?

When will we point out that the real issue is with people attempting to make side work their FT job? Instead of blaming all these side gig app companies maybe point out that none were ever set up to replace FT work, but to literally be a side gig to make extra money.

This isn’t how you conduct a study to come up with legitimate results. Others have mentioned confirmation bias of your statement, and it’s completely true. Here’s a free idea for you: “Our initial data says this, but we need to collect more data to see if that is really true or not”.

This war against Uber as the enemy of everything we hold dear is getting tiresome. We get it, Jalopnik is pro union and anti-corporate.

Did anyone at the Jalopnik HQ take statistics? Yeesh, confirmation bias at its best.

I was gonna say Self-Selection Bias but I think you’re right, or they’re very similar. It’s been a long time since my last stats class....but like any online review, you have to assume ~10:1 ratio of complaints to positive experiences.

Absolutely right, it’s called Voluntary Response Bias

If you’re looking for people that have been screwed, announce it in a series of posts, make sure you’re looking for people that have been screwed, of course you’ll get those people.

I feel like you’re only getting receipts from drivers who feel like they got screwed with this change. I’m betting you didn’t get any receipts from drivers where Uber lost money on a fare because they paid a sticky surge to the driver even though the passenger did not pay a fare.

If doordash is keeping the tips then the cash tips that they occassionally receive is justified without reporting it. Same way doordash is committing fraud by stealing. Cash tips are rare so it's not much anyway.

If the billionaire president of the United States commits tax fraud and calls it being a good businessman, then I think a poor Somali guy driving for grub hub shouldn't feel obligated to report his tips if that's what he chooses.

Me too. Always tip in cash. It offers the person I’m tipping so much more flexibility.

Sorry, it is still illegal under federal law.

PLOT TWIST: The manager’s from the future and he knew the customer would one day save the world as the only person alive able to bond with, and unlock the powers of, an ancient dragon currently slumbering off the coast of North Carolina. The cashier was an evil assassin sent from the future to kill the customer, but

The man’s own testimony doesn’t provide any evidence as to why this exchange could be considered racist. There was no implication that the manager made any remarks that indicate racism and the man received a full refund. It seems like this guy is just trying to make some money off of an ambiguous situation unless

That is a very good color, especially on this car. I’ve always found myself uncontrollably attracted to grabber blue as well...
