I loved that intro, especially the few seconds with the president getting into a helicopter. It was a great distillation of the "breakdown of society" stuff that I enjoy most about zombie movies.

I once came across someone on here philosophically joking, "If a comment receives no upvotes, did it ever truly exist?"
Smell ya later.
He-Man airs in Spanish on Saturday afternoons on some channel I recently found, so it's been mildly amusing to revisit that cartoon for two minutes at a time. Even among 80s cash-in cartoons, the animation is really rough in spots.
They blew half their budget on getting a barrel full of acid to leave in an alley, uncovered.
Tom addressed this in an AMA:
I definitely see a connection with his powers and Bran's, like how he can detect Bran within the visions and leave his brand. Is it possible that he and Bran are both on the "evil" side of the battle between R'hllor and "The Great Other"? I was reading the wiki earlier and saw this:
Their wings were dipped in magic.
A huge chunk of the comments on the Expert review are of the "magic xylophone" variety, with people demanding to know how ravens could fly so quickly and all sorts of details.
The Best Show had Andrew Dice Clay call in this week.
I can't believe that people are so hung up on the logistics of this stuff. "But wait, they were 23.4 miles from the Wall. A raven flying southeast at 15 miles per hour … *grabs protractor* "
The real thing keeping me on the hook is local sports. Comcast Sportsnet carries almost all of the basketball and hockey that I'd be watching. I'm thinking about the Playstation Vue that people seem to be happy with.
Focus on getting satellites launched in the early to mid game and covering as many countries as possible. You get bonuses for covering whole continents. Steadily upgrade your weapons to laser and then plasma later on. Sprinkle in some armor upgrades and other tech that seems beneficial as you go. Work on upgrading…
Yeah, satellites are hugely important. The bonuses you get for covering a continent can make a big difference, as does the boost in income.
"Don't worry, honey, it's just a man in a green man suit with a parrot on his shoulder forcefully putting two fingers in a stranger's mouth on the street while the screen zooms in on a passerby's startled reaction in the background."
It's killing me to give Comcast that much money each month. I'm cutting down once GoT is over, if not cutting TV entirely.
I kinda dismissed Lil Wayne for no real reason other than him being super popular, but then I actually listened to some of his stuff years later and was impressed. He comes up with some very clever wordplay and the songs are undeniably catchy.
I love Man vs. Food and was personally offended when they trotted out some replacement dude as host. Adam Richman 4 lyfe, accept no substitutes.
My girlfriend seems to wait for the exact worst moments in The Eric Andre Show to enter the room and start watching. I'm usually laughing hysterically while a bleeding, screaming naked man is breaking things on TV.
I love them for being time capsules of how teenagers were, or were perceived, at the time. The hair, clothing, music, interests, attitudes. I really enjoy the nostalgic element to them.
