I'm kinda curious about revisiting The Tick. I was 10 years old when it was on, so I'm sure I missed a huge chunk of the jokes and references. I still enjoyed it.

Dragonball Super's big tournament finally started a couple of weeks back, so that has been fun. A whole universe just got wiped out of existence. Angels are possibly evil, or at least don't care much about sentient life disappearing? We'll find out over the next several dozen episodes.

I've been continuing to walk during my lunch breaks, which has been going well despite the heat. My girlfriend said I might need a smaller size of pants when I was getting ready for work today, so that felt good.

I never saw Band of Brothers from beginning to end, so we've been watching that lately. I always caught the back half of the episodes and had to fill in some blanks. Man, people weren't kidding about David Schwimmer being great in his role and also a total prick.

I revisited Dead Cells after leaving it alone for a month or two while waiting for more updates. It's still so much fun. I like having new weapons and enemies and things to figure out again.

Call animal control.

Could I please request a quick summary for the uninitiated? I read comments alluding to that but never heard the whole story.

"Burning Up" by Madonna didn't go over too well, either.

Yeah, Larry's persona doesn't change a whole lot from the first few episodes, so maybe he's just not your cup of tea. Understandable. The whole show is about his unique, curmudgeonly worldview, so I can see it getting old very fast if you find Larry to be annoying.

Unequivocally, yes. There are some serious laugh out loud moments in the series. You know, if you have a tolerance for Larry David being a curmudgeon about mundane social foibles. "Beloved Aunt" is one of my favorite episodes.

That's funny, I'm listening to yesterday's episode of the TK Show where he talks about his HOF/WOF induction. Always nice to see a fellow Little. I send a TK Salute to you, sir.

I'm really looking forward to the Mike and the Mad Dog one. I've only heard of how great they were from other sports personalities, and read the jokey posts about Francesca falling asleep or spilling Diet Coke, so I'd like to see some of them in their prime.

Deadspin has done its part to drive it into the ground.

That sounds awesome. If I had an iPad, I would be obsessing over FTL even more. I wish it was somehow possible to play it on my iPhone, but the interface requires some precision to pull off the more complicated stuff (managing crew members' health and oxygen when it gets hectic or during a boarding).

That's definitely how I interpreted it - the guy was just a dick regardless of race.

The weapons have a lot of variety and are fun to pair together for interesting combos. The controls are very tight.

Starcraft II co-op mode, FTL, and Tekken 7. Maybe I'll dive back into Dead Cells, since I haven't tried out the stuff from the recent update. I also feel guilty about not playing much Horizon Zero Dawn in a month or two.

I'm looking forward to picking up Nioh for cheap some time in the coming months. It kinda got swallowed up by all of those good games that came out at once.

I enjoyed the first one, but found the item/skill drops to be very frustrating. The RNG was unforgiving and it felt like you had to grind missions 4 or 5 times (at least) to get the stuff you wanted. The second one seemed to be a little less harsh and I had more fun with the character customization.

Dead Cells is pretty sweet, too! I like the elements that it borrows from Rogue Legacy, allowing you to upgrade weapons and stuff between runs to get some incremental progress even when you die.
