@gielamonster: On the lunar rover they had an electric motor for each wheel, but they needed to massive reduction between the motor and the wheel. They used harmonic drives, because they were by far the most compact and lightest way to get massive reductions.

One of the problems with the Kappa platform was that it was designed to be very flexible, so they could make many different models off of the same platform. I remember when I was a kid, if you asked, you could sit up front with the driver. They had lots of extra seats and the view was excellent. I wonder if they still let people do that, because then Disney is just lucky an entire family was not sittings up front with the driver.
