That is delightful. I am sorry you didn't enjoy it. It SUCKS to spend time on something unpleasant. Perhaps you could spare yourself the discomfort in the future by not watching it. 

So, the show does not look like it was made in the mid 60's for the first color TVs?

I know it isn't popular, but as a lifelong Trek fan, I really like Discovery for trying new things with the series and taking risks.

Scaled up a little, this could produce some really fantastic spectacles.

The box-surprise was literally startling, and the jabberwocky effects are excellent.

The new klingons remind me of g’kar from babylon 5 too and he was a dick.

I hate sloppy retcons like that.

The new Enterprise looks great. Far, far better than anything created by the JJ Verse.

There are substantial differences between the two

I tried watching this, but find the animation really unappealing. I really wanted to like it, but it always leaves me feeling Meh. I'm happy to see others here are excited about the second season. 

I like space suits. I have always wanted to see more space suits on Star Trek. The ones from TOS were laughable, but the suits in the Motion Picture and Wrath of Khan were good for their time.
