Not disputing the Wily virus. When I state the Dark energy I am not talking about the infection of Mega Man. I am speaking towards the fact that while the energy within Mega Man was handled it was still on the planet contained by Wily for him to research and develop around.

Zero was just one of the original carriers of the virus which you could just call the Wily virus from the cinematic where Sigma and him fought.

I wouldn’t count Roboenza as part of the chain of evolution for the virus. 10 came way after the series and was vaccinated within that game. Maybe it was a test for making a contagious virus that affected non-humans.
