I think she's still office manager. I'm not sure what exactly she meant when she said she had work to do, but then again I'm not sure what exactly office managers do.

I agree. When you wait days or weeks or even months for the next new episode, your expectations naturally build up to unreasonable expectations. Reduce the wait to hours or minutes and you can totally forgive a flawed series.
