A few closeups of the raw (and often deadly) machines of 70's and 80's Grand Prix racing from COTA earlier this year.
I’ve always thought the move from low, wide rear wings to tall, skinny rear wings was the turning point in F1 aesthetics. However, in the case of the F60, the front wing looks very nice compared to the F2008. (Coincidentally, there hasn’t been a close finish in the driver’s standings, excluding 2010, since 2008)
Some pictures I dug up from VIR last weekend.
Parking lot near the main straight. Also saw 3 50th Anniversary 911's.
...80% of 1-series owners thought their car was front-wheel drive.
Five spoke Friday.
Top 3 are edited, bottom 3 are not.
I want to widebody a 996 911 and put a rotary in it, I'm sorry.
...I think Spyker had one of the best looking Formula 1 cars ever.
Does that mean all the idiots who sold GT6 quit whining?
Expect a full write-up on the car and what it's like to drive (virtually) tomorrow. But for now...
As good a reason as any to post this car.
