Yeah, it happened to me once, too (although I’ve been stopped four or five times -- I’m a bit of a speeder). The cop started making suggestions about how many we could chat sometime when I wasn’t in “such a hurry” blah blah blah, but then I mentioned I was on my way to court and he backed the fuck up into

Ben Affleck is still salty about Gigli, y’all.

Well Depp apologists, here it is. The proof beyond any shadow of a doubt regarding what happened. The root of domestic violence and violence against women is about control and power. She is a survivor and moving on and he can’t handle that. Fuck him.

My husband told me yesterday that his grandmother was from a small Mormon town where everyone had the same last name. I feel like informing your partner that he is likely the product of first cousins marrying through several generations should be done before the vows.....but oh well. I’m hoping my hodgepodge immigrant

Blue Ivy will get over it. She’s a... Survivor.

This sort of thing happened to me about 20 years ago when I was in my early 20s. A cop pulled me over for failing to signal for a lane change. He “flirted” with me that maybe he wouldn’t write me a ticket if he could take me out for dinner and give me a warning.

sorry, but that’s ridiculous. anyone who has worked production knows full well that is not how line budgets work. networks earmark $ for many different budgets on a given show, it’s not just a raw number. additionally, it’s highly unlikely for a successful show to cut essential crew unless they are simply overstaffed

The romcom world where relationships are started with over-the-top grand gestures instead of feelings towards the other person.

I often wonder how much of this behavior is due to movies, where the Katherine Heigel character would fall for it and start bawling while everyone stuck in traffic is happy for them, or just straight up male entitlement.

Because you end up with other people who also have a badge and gun, and understanding of their rights, and the police force behind them. Nothing like the helpless women on the road who have to do what you tell them, under fear of arrest or death!

These were white women he was harassing.

Union contract. If the cop was involved in a use of force that falls within their duties, they will be suspended with pay (a few places require the cop to pay back the money if the use of force was deemed unjustified, but most don’t).

Because sex is immoral but violence is just fine. Murica.

That’s not egg...

I’m starting to think every romcom should come with that as a disclaimer, read out by the lead actor, in the middle of the fucking movie.

He seems just one traffic stop short of becoming Daniel Holtzclaw.

Just a reminder for all men out there. If you think your dating strategy will make for a funny montage in a romcom, you probably should not do it and it’s most definitely unethical and/or illegal.
