The Flash was like nothing else being aired on television at the time, and CBS did their level best to run the show into the ground. It was really hard to keep up with, as it's schedule never seemed to have any consistency. To this day, there are episodes I've never seen.

That's external drama, though. All the internal drama within the group was instigated and exacerbated by either Shane or Dale's influence on the characters. Andrea is really the only polarizing figure left, and really, she's just a bit snippy with a couple of characters.

With both Dale and Shane expired, the camp has lost it's two polar opposites. I'm worried that's going to take a lot of the drama out of the series. Of course, next week's episode could indicate that a sea change is on the horizon.

So... no Carson of Venus, then. Shame. Those were the books I read.
